Gentleman Jack is double charcoal filtered, once before the barrel and then before bottling.
JD is only filtered once before the barrel.

For me its is a waste of time.....with it being smoother the flavor gets diluted down when mixing with coke (might be a plus for some) and if you want to drink it on it own then there's plenty out there better for around the same money or less. Four Roses Small Batch, Woodford reserve, Knob Creek, all available from super markets.
Also I think the Asda deal was only to the end of October, same with the Woodford.

would have to say its an acquired taste. its nice in my own opinion and worth trying it out
