Buy 2 packs of Taylor's Limited Edition Christmas Blend (£3.00 each) and get a free Taylor's branded Cafetière. The Cafetière on their own scan at £9.99.
These were in the Horwich store yesterday, and when I enquired about them in Leigh, I was told only the coffee had come in on the delivery, but the display should be set up sometime this week.

Not sure of the measurement, but it was quite large. If I was to guess I'd say it would probably hold around a litre.

Sounds hot, wife just broke our Bodum cafetiere this evening, so I'll send her off to Asda in the week!

it'll be their 8 dinky cup one, or rather 3 or so normal 'mugs' of coffee for us commoners
I think you can achieve the same results with a normal cafetière if you use coffee which is reasonably fine ground (the stuff that says suitable for all coffee makers) & don't stir before you plunge. Just be careful to press the plunger very slowly or you'll have coffee everywhere.
It may be possible to make really good coffee in a cafetière but the process is quite different from an aeropress, meaning you'll end up with a different cup of coffee at the end. I'm a big fan of the aeropress, though it's more hassle than a cafetière if you want to make coffee for more than one person.
To get back on topic; the christmas blend coffee from Taylors is usually pretty good and this looks like quite a good deal.

Good spot OP, heat added.
Not really my cup of tea :smirk:
Try something like this if you want good value proper coffee:
The Grantham asda had the pots but no Christmas coffe on Friday.they filled the display with grade 3 coffee which is also in red bags .the manager however honoured the deal and overrode it at the checkout.

Sorry but what you write is rubbish. You can achieve great coffee (well not with pre ground stale supermarket coffee such as this) with a french press but you need a loose grind otherwise you will end up with overly bitter coffee and even worse grind still in the cup.

Thank you, Nevets87  Neither of my two nearest stores knew anything about it, referred me to the giant superstore at Trafford Park, Manchester. Manager there looked into and phoned me back to advise they had 52 on the shelf. By the time I was able to get there this evening, there were 9 left! Looking forward to using my new cafetiere! Thanks again x

Great deal! I went into my local Asda on Wednesday and they had the coffee but not the cafetière. Staff were not aware of the promotion but there was a big display. The staff were helpful and she gave me the number to ring and check when there will be some more in. I picked up two sets yesterday (will make a nice christmas present - makes a change from chocs or biscuits). The coffee looks and smell lovely. Just plain after dinner coffee (strength 4, no herbs or spices listed). It is a nice looking cafetière, looking very much like the name brand except it says Taylor's on it! Standard 8 cup (ie 3 mugs) 1 litre, size cafetière. You also get a 50p voucher off your next purchase of coffee. Thanks OP!
