Ryanair has outrageously cheap flights to Ponta Delgada in the Azores - some islands in the middle of the Atlanic - for £10 return. Departing London Stansted on 5 December and returning 12 December - maybe other dates but I didn't see any. I booked 1 flight already. Flight time is just over 4 hours.

Not sure whether there enough to do there to justify a week (and it's a once weekly flight!). I suppose I could work from home for a week from there, with nicer views than my crappy office in London!
Also, the weather there on wc 5/12 is looking to be rainy :disappointed:.
