One thing to be aware of is Tassimo have changed the recipe of the drinks that have milk. The milk pods used to be twice as big and contain liquid milk. The new milk pods are half size and contain powdered milk and according to Tassimo own website, and their Facebook page the new milks are terrible. So if you like lattes or macchiatos or any drinks that come with milk pods I would stay away from Tassimo.
I have just bought 20 boxes (160 drinks) of the Vanilla Latte with the liquid milk to stock up on the nice ones!

I have a different model to this, but unlike the bread maker it's used several times a day. As well as coffee the Tassimo Twinings tea is lovely and the kids love the chocolate. It's in constant use and I think we'd be lost without it.

They're okay, but not for me. Nespresso machines only make espresso then you add your own milk. Nespresso makes far better coffee.
Still a good deal though.

... unfortunately, have to agree, with one BIG exception - the new type Cadbury's Hot Choc is now finally less messy & easier to make (i.e. no breaking into choc pod to scoop out the gloopy syrup) and every one I know, loves it better than ever before :stuck_out_tongue:

I use mine daily, the milk has changed but if you are anything like me I always add my own fresh milk anyway so non issue. the Kenco Americano Smooth from sainsburys currently 3 pounds is my fave.

The cheapest in store are Sainsburys currently 3 pounds, or Amazon which equates to about 2.31 for 16 which I think is the cheapest I've ever seen them.

This machine is OK for a 'second' one but with only a 700ml water tank, you'll be forever filling it up - especially as it says 'empty' when there's water still left. As a guide, a decent sized Latte will be 300ml.

Here you go. It's a HUKD from a couple of weeks ago and is an absolute bargain. SOOO much better than a Tassimo or Dolce Gusto, it doesn't even compare.

I have the previous model to this machine and it has the same size water jug. I find this is a bit small, fine for one maybe two but if I have visitors and maybe make 4-5 I keep having to refill it. My mother in law has a similar model which was about £10 more but with at least twice the water capacity. I wish I'd got that model instead.
I can't say I've noticed any difference with the lattes since the milk has changed. Tasts the same now as before with the liquid milk.
My wife uses it loads more than me. I did hear they put all sorts in those pods to make the milk frothy etc. It's not exactly pure coffee and milk you're getting from these machines.
Up until I bought this machine for my wife I probably spent less than £20 a year on coffee. 5 months later after having the machine I've probably spent close to £200 on pods. The lattes work out about 60p per coffee so soon adds up.

It's just different. I have a Nespresso in the office and a Tassimo at home.
The Nespresso essentially does one thing and does it very well. There are a dozen different pods, but they all taste roughly the same. Because they're designed to produce a very good espresso coffee, anything else doesn't come out that well. There are settings for half and full cup extractions, but as you might expect they're pretty awful since it's just overextracting an espresso pod. The espresso is quite nice, though.
Tassimo's straight up espresso is pretty disappointing. But it can do a decent cup of joe, American-style. The teas are generally loose-leaf and really quite excellent (if expensive for tea). Does hot chocolate and flavoured lattes if that's your thing, as well. I prefer it, but - big caveat here - I *own* an espresso machine so if that's what I feel like I don't end up disappointed.
