Great deal. It's worth paying a bit extra for the mx comp too. Hydraulic brakes and better overall spec.
How bizarre, that's the bike I own ! As you say great bike, but slightly different type of bike, the MX Comp closer to a mountain bike (suspension more of an all-rounder), whereas the one I posted is closer to a road bike (solid forks, skinny/smooth tyres, lighter, more road based)

Me too :smiley:. The front fork is ok for dropping off the curb, but a bit rubbish on anything else (I swapped mine for a rock shox paragon). I'm actually looking for a suitable solid carbon front fork now to lop a bit more weight off the front end.

It's an amazing bike, so smooth and fast on the roads, highly recommend.
Bought some Continental GatorSkin tyres which I'm going to upgrade the tyres to (still haven't fitted them on).
Currently researching into mudguards for this + good rechargeable lights.
Took out bike insurance the other day.

Just searching around for Halfords deals, now I'm paranoid if I buy a bike soon, an O2 deal or random 10% off weekend will come back around! So hard buying things when you visit this site regularly, nothing but the absolute cheapest will do lol :/

This is an excellent price for a superb bike. I have the 2013 version (review here: http://cyclesport.org.uk/2014/01/18/boardman-hybrid-comp/ - many of the components are still very similar) and its never let me down. I use it as my everyday commuting/nipping to the shops bike although its also great for family rides etc.
It's a very, very comfortable bike and reasonably light, especially at this price. You won't get a decent branded spec anywhere near this price range from any other reputable brand. It's one of the few bikes I've ever had which needed no upgrades at all after purchase - you can if you want, but it's absolutely fine as is. The only thing I changed was the saddle and that was pure vanity - I wanted a white one! The stock one is actually okay.
The Avid mechanical brakes are excellent, almost too good. I have Shimano Deore LX hydraulics on my Gary Fisher mountain bike and these are pretty damn close. For commuting, I would never go back to V-brakes.
As mentioned above, you can drive this price even lower by stacking various discounts. O2 Priority has expired but British Cycling gets you 10% off now and for all future Halfords purchases, too.

Would this be suitable for someone short? I'm 5ft2.. would I be better off going for a women's version or is there not much difference?

Same height as my wife. I'd say 5ft2in is pushing it - you'd probably need a 40cm frame, there's a women's version of this bike although it's not as heavily discounted:
I had this one for a few months and then got the team ,being using it for a year now,and apart from putting gatorskin tyres and lights on ,ive done over 4k miles and no trouble.

So 10% of £330 is £33.
£330 - £33 = Total: £297
Require purchasing total amount above (£297) in vouchers, this'll save you an additional 10%.
