To those perfect examples of human beings, get out your ivory tower. Trying to plug a sub cable into a tower on the floor, behind a desk that requires a contortionist to reach. These are a great idea. Same goes for pluging in a phone in the dark after a day of dealing with the kids.

Thought I'd post an update here as two of the ones of these that I ordered came apart this week leaving part of the micro usb end in my phone and my partners phone. I was thinking about making a complaint but reading the posts on here it seems likely that will be a waste of time; also looking at the product page on Banggood now it lists various products with which it is not compatible:
We both have HTC M8s which were not listed as incompatible at the time I ordered. :disappointed:

Inconsistency in manufacture maybe as mine that I threw away was more than a gentle push and I value my purchases rather than the very slight inconvenience of having to check the plug end.

I had my cable over 2 weeks ago and been using it between the original samsung Note4 cable.
Here are my experience so far...
1. The cable construction is fine but not as thick as the original .
2. The 2 sided connection is the miss. On the micro side, because of the small design the male connector seems to slip in and go over the female connector. There is a chance it will break the female side on the phone or other device.
Similarly to the USB side, the cable must be properly inserted.
In conclusion, the cable must be used with extra care when plug and unplug. I think it would not get a second one to use on other devices.

Is any asian retailer reputable? If you don't get tracked postage anything can happen...
As for the quality of the product. This was always going to be a risky buy. Neither full sized end nor micro end adhere to any USB standards. The full sized end works quite well with a "flexible" center circuit board. Only time will tell how long this lasts. One could guess that it might snap if used many times.
The micro end seems to be the main problem. The lugs on both sides are not sprung and the result is a really tight fit in most male micro sockets that I have tried. If you cannot engage the micro end without using force then you should attempt to flatten the lugs (e.g. with the edge of a coin). Whatever you use, take care not to deform the female casing itself.
I cannot comment on the charging ability/quality of the cable. It works for me but I don't have any fast rate charging devices. However the cable itself is thinner than the online pics.

Mine arrived today too (also ordered 4 Nov). Well packaged, no problems there.
I noticed my wife had left our nutcracker on the kitchen counter so I used that to squash the bumps in - the cables are fairly lose now, but better than (potentially) damaging the device.
I imagine pliers would work well if you don't happen to have a nutcracker handy :-).

So, my cables arrived today. Soaking wet and covered in mould! I've given one of them a good clean in hot water and washing up liquid and it does work surprisingly well. I'd already escalated a claim to paypal, and I won't be cancelling it on the basis of the condition of these and their quality is certainly not of that stated on the description page (the wire is really quite thin and far too flexible to be of any decent standard).

Mine were dispatched on 7th November and I'm still waiting. I had them delivered to my work address, but won't be there after Friday so if they don't show up they'll be getting a refund request. I'm not in a particular rush for them, and I'm actually intrigued now as to whether they'll show up at all / be soaking wet / work fine / not work, but waiting this long for something that their website said should be delivered in 25 days is just wrong.
Regarding refunds, I ordered some cables, then the price dropped and I cancelled it and re-ordered. It was very easy to ask for a refund through their website and the funds were back in my account the next day, no questions asked (although to be fair the order hadn't been dispatched when I did that)

Works well with my previously fussy LG G3. Also with Nexus 5, Mi 10,000 battery, Anker 5 port charger, generic QI wireless charger, TomTom USB car charger and basically anything I've tried it with. A bit stiff with the Mi but a little force worked wonders. As I said I've just ordered another three. Can't understand why USB wasn't like this from the start. Btw a voltage and amperage tester costs a couple of quid and revealed to me that all cables are not equal as I thought. It revealed huge variations variations between cables and explained why sometimes phones were taking so long to charge. Great investment

Received mine last week. Tried on my Nexus 6, it was very stiff going in. Flipped it over and it didn't charge. After a few times inserting and removing it worked both ways. Tired a regular micro USB and it was very loose. After leaving it for a while the regular micro USB seemed to be back to normal. I won't be using them again, these are just badly designed. I wouldn't risk damaging the port on your phone just for the sake of having to insert the cable a certain way.

Just got the cable today. Already requesting a refund through their site. I used a debit card so Paypal is of no use. Here is my review and I will post this whenever I see this cable deal on this site:
I bought 3 cables. Testes 2 out of 3.
Both cables do not carry data signal from devices (2 mobile phones tested) to connect the computer. It appears they do charge.
Reversible USB works. But the connection is very loose. If you touch the cable while charging, it may lose the charge and appear as disconnect.
Not worth the hassle

2 Dec 15#335
Received mine just half an hour ago. I've tried it out briefly and I agree with others that the fact the "teeth" aren't sprung loaded and are on both sides means that a fairly significant amount of force is required to insert them. I may hang onto them for use with cheaper micro-USB products, but I don't think I'll be putting them anywhere near my new smart phone for fear of knackering the USB port.
I'd try to return it, but I doubt it's worth the hassle. They do work as stated technically, so best I could hope for is refund minus postage (assuming they'd even honour that) and once you remove postage to China I'm likely to be out of pocket given they only cost £4 or so for 3.
Sorry to anyone who was eagerly looking forward to these, but it looks like it is a duff. I'll also be joining the "wait for usb c to take off" crowd.

I've just received mine and first impressions are impressive. Attractively packaged without plastic, so 'frustration free' and environmentally good. As described, it charges with both sockets either way round.
The connectors
The micro-USB does have some resistance, shame they couldn't engineer it with sprung retaining clips like a normal micro-USB socket. It looks like there would have been space. However, with my LG G2 the resistance isn't particularly strong, so I think it should be okay regarding overloading the port fixings.
I'd be more concerned that the lack of springs means the port gets 'scored' such that normal micro-USB sockets no longer stay in properly.
I have therefore bent the four retaining clips in slightly, such that the resistance to insertion and removal is now much the same as with a conventional cable. Perfect.
This might mean the cable doesn't stay in securely after a few months of wear, but I'd rather replace the cable than the phone's micro-USB port!
No significant resistance pushing the USB side into a charger, so I'm not concerned with wearing the charger out.
Charge rate
I'm getting a good 1700mA charge rate from it (measured by the app Ampere). This is little changed by reversing the cable. How well this is maintained after 100 insertion/removals would be interesting to see! Very few of my cables will still achieve this. So even though it appears thin externally, it might have more copper inside rather than some other cables. Blitzwolf claim it to be 'tinned copper'.
Conclusion
Now that the launch sale is over, I'd recommend waiting to buy these for a few months to see how they endure. In the meantime put a sticker on your current cable to help you orient it!

further to my post #324 I plugged in my cable last night and no response from my phone either when plugged in or during removal. I then plugged in my normal cable and to my relief this responded and started to charge, so I have binned my reversible cables. Small price to pay for an experiment that went wrong, I was in the market for new cables and these seemed to be a reason to purchase, although I had never found normal cables a problem the idea seemed logical, just happy no long term damage seems to have occurred.

You should ask banggood for a refund, otherwise there's no repercussions for them/other chinese manufacturers flooding the market with this cheap rubbish. That's what I'll be doing if I'm not happy with them (even if they were only £1.76!)

Just received my order today...did not opt for any priority shipping options or tracking.
Considering the blurb regarding AWG, I am a little disappointed with the lack of thickness in the cable, they surely cannot be as quoted...although everything seems fine regarding charging speeds.
Both ends fit as required in the respective USB/Micro USB ports with one caveat...tightness. They feel somewhat abrasive in the port whichever way around you use them inside a standard USB port.
With my phone although it reassuring clicks in place with a modicum of force, whichever way around you use it, you do not get the same abrasive nature it still has the same problem which applies to both ends.....
Removal....as they are tight fits you have to wobble to gently release, or in the phones instance....and I am sure it is to do with the metal bobble clips (none technical term!) being on each side of the micro usb connector, you really have to wobble or pull using a little force to release.
They 'may' get looser with time...I do fear rocking to release them could put pressure on the female micro usb sockets and create problems on phones/tablets with soldered to mainboard sockets.
Nice idea in theory, in practice however they could create another problem entirely, that could be far worse than the inconvenience of checking which way round your cable is.
My advice...buy a decent quality standard cable and buy some cheap dot stickers to put on the relevant side of your cable instead.
Am I happy with my purchase? For the price paid I am not unhappy, but concerned if they do not wear a little for socket fitting.
Would I purchase again? As far as I am concerned the doubts these cables have on the end user do outway the thoughtful idea, so personally, no.

I would discontinue using them immediately .
Micro USB connectors are not just a friction fit but have 2 tiny sprung loaded teeth to hold them in place.
It appears these cables just have two bumps as an alternative, which will cause wear inside the connector.
With time they may appear to become "looser" but only because they've caused excessive wear on the micro USB connector... damage that will not be easy to reverse without replacing the connector.
It may also develop problems using regular USB cables in the future and bear in mind that these connectors are also used for connecting your phone to a PC etc... flecks of worn metal bridging pins in the connector will most likely destroy your device.
If these cables were a viable and suitable option I would ask myself why major manufacturers haven't yet produced them... probably a fear of paying for damaged equipment has stopped them!

For the sake of just needing to turn the cable over it's not worth the risk of damaging the micro USB connector on your device.

As I stated in my previous post mine have arrived and last night I used one to charge my mobile, the USB end went in to the socket of my Anker with a firm push but the phone end needed more that a firm push and once in place nothing happened, I then removed the plug from the phone and in doing this as I removed it the connection was made briefly so I re-inserted the plug and the phone started to receive charge and when I got up this morning the phone was fully charged OK. Will see how things progress over the coming weeks.

Received today (package from Germany) and tracked successfully via Royalmail.
Verdict. Its a very thin cable (narrower than shown on box?) - obviously a budget cable. Micro USB went into MotoG socket but needed a good push/click to engage. USB charger end also needed a firm push to engage. Charging not a problem. Both ends reverse successfully (charging and data). Bargain.
EDIT: here's the thin cable (the far right cable is the advertised item; only time will tell how long these last...

I think from looking at the connectors, that the middle section has electrical contacts on both sides, and the middle must move up or down depending on the way it's plugged in, using a spring?
Musicrab
10 Nov 151#249
PHYSICALLY it looks like this
If you look at a standard fat end its not symmetrical. This one is and hence (in theory) it can be put in any way round. ELECTRICALLY I have no idea (but it must be pretty smart). Doubts exist regarding its charging ability (may vary depending on which way round it is put in). And it may not work at all for some people (may be very device dependent).

I suspect durability over time (the centre plate where all the pins are is very thin, especially on the micro end) and probably because it's vastly cheaper to make them the normal way so manufacturers who include free cables in the box do it with the cheap standard ones only.

That's just the cabling side of things, in fact it's often the micro usb connectors which fail. Particularly if the internal battery is very low, you connect the micro usb to your phone after you've connected the usb connector to the charger. Just two tiny connections carry up to 2 amps! However, it is just a simple connection.
The article is wrong about the lightning connector. With the lightning connector, the connections are not simply mirrored on either side, there are ics on the cable side which first connect to the apple device and they 'decide' which way round the cable is connected and which connections to use for power. The cable manufacturer has to duplicate these ics. Part of the reason for updates to Apple devices is to detect these copies and then stop allowing them to charge the device. It's not usually due to cabling resistance.
Lots of manufacturers try to do this with phone batteries, printer cartridges etc. The excuse given is that copies may be unsafe or damage their equipment

Unfortunately you're unlikely to get anything like 2.1A charging rates with this cable, possibly up to 1A depending on the device. The problem is the cable thickness (24awg) combined with the cable length (1m.)
And yes, I've actually done real world tests - the thickness of the cables vs their length really does make a huge difference in measured voltage drops and current. :disappointed:
On the upside, it does at least state the thickness (many cables don't) and although 20 or 22awg charging cables would be much better, they are more expensive and harder to get hold of. :-/

Some people have some funny habits. If your USB access point is behind the tower on the floor, why not leave the cable in the port and then you will just have to deal with the phone end. Leaving the cable in will not cause any damage if not connected as no circuit is closed. Or better still buy a charging adapter that can be placed in a convenient position.
I've never had a problem, I just look at the ends and know which way they go and I need to look to see that they enter the ports without causing damage so no extra effort, although I have ordered 3 because it's a good deal at that price if they stand up to the job as queried elsewhere.

To those perfect examples of human beings, get out your ivory tower. Trying to plug a sub cable into a tower on the floor, behind a desk that requires a contortionist to reach. These are a great idea. Same goes for pluging in a phone in the dark after a day of dealing with the kids.

Type C and type A are completely different things. Type C is emerging, but isn't standard yet. One of those won't fit in any current standard USB ports without an adapter.

The idea of a reversible connector isn't new, certainly. And, the Lightning Cable is very useful in that regard. I always wondered why Apple didn't make the other end (the USB end) reversible, but I suspect it may have been in violation of the USB Standard.
I wonder if anyone familiar with the certification or standardisations of USB products can confirm if this complies with the USB standard?

The micro USB end is gonna fall out of your phone. There's no clips to keep it in place like on other cables, and when these clips fail on standard cables there's nothing to hold the cable in your phone. I'm calling it.
Also, this problem won't exist any more soon as USB Type C takes off (will have the same reversible port on both your PC and your phone). May as well just wait until then.

These must work or they wouldn't sell, I'm not sure how the USB A end works, surely the middle section must move to accommodate the connector it's going to and it can't be any larger than a normal USB A end. I still don't see how it's any easier than a usual USB cable to use.
teh31337one to fishmaster
3 Nov 15#19
The connector in the middle of the USB A side is thinner and has data connections on both sides.
Should be OK? The Micro USB would fit in just like a normal cable.

Sorry if this has already been replied to. I purchased the 'Adam' lightning version of a similar thing from Amazon a few months ago.
Unfortunately, due to the sturdy construction of the board in a female USB mains plug socket, the middle board in the cable bent easily, and didn't reset after being unplugged.
That then makes it difficult to plug the cable back in the 'flipped' way, as it needs to bend back as its inserted, which defeats the purpose of the design.
That's just my personal experience and I guess these may be more flexible, but just thought I'd answer your post.

Thanks ordered, never really had an issue with plugging a Micro USB cable in wrong but i'm interested to see if these work as well as they claim.
On a side note I'm more interested in this magnetic cable, my biggest issue with the microUSB port is the wear and tear of the port itself, I've had a couple of devices stop charging because the port got worn out, this could solve that problem.
ive wanted to order stuff of bangood before but was put off by reviews of the site saying its full of scammers ! any advice ? was looking to buy an octacore android phone, mi note 4 or along them lines but wast sure if a lot of sellers were fake / con men ... or women for the sexist brigade

Hm. I have some reversible cables that look to have come out of the same factory, branded D-Land, only with braiding on the cable too. Worked out cheaper in a 5 pack on Amazon, with prime shipping.
If it's similar, then it's ok. They look good and are mostly sturdy, though the micro end connector has a tendancy to come away where the rubber strain relief enters the metal (yup!) body, revealing the bare usb data wires inside.
With this (still), no copper in sight in the cable, it's just plain cheapo alu. At lease this new revision seems to have a bit more meat inside though in terms of a thicker power conductor and more shielding.
A 6 pack of Tecknet USB cables, good reviews, durable build, and only £4.69 for a six pack in mixed lengths, with add-on item free shipping = 78p each.

Nah, the Apple one bends. These bits of the patent kinda give that away -
"a deflectable tongue" and "a bending portion of the tongue when the tongue deflects towards and makes contact with the first major surface"
It doesn't matter how thin the centre section is, the centre of the A socket will still be in the way. If the centre bit on the double A doesn't move or flex then it's not going to fit.

There seem to be quite a few patents on the matter including possibly Apple itself? There does not seem to be any movement seems to rely on thinness to fit it in:
It will all depend on how good the center bit is, the one shown in patent has a double edge <> and is quite thin.

I ordered one that was dispatched a week ago. I'll try to report back when I receive it. It seems they may not be designed to fit on phones where the micro usb is close to the edge of the phone. I saw one person commenting on the znaps kickstarter page that their magnetic cable wasn't working well (this style not the znaps). All the Amazon reviews seem to be paid reviews, so I don't trust them. Time will tell, but znaps seems like a much better product once/if it released.

That video doesn't explain anything. In fact, it doesn't show any more about how it works than the gifs in this thread.
What I was alluding to is this - the connection point in an A socket is in the middle, sometimes slightly over it. So unless the centre pin on the double sided connector moves or flexes, you're going to have compatibility issues.
Own nothing with MicroUSB. This cable will be useless to me. OMG IT HAS DOUBLE SIDED USB? Bought.

They show video of the problem, then only show stills of their product.

Great idea, but I wonder if it causes damage to the microUSB socket over time.

USB-C (USB 3.1) is on hardly anything. USB has been around so long that these cables will be applicable for a long time. Also the ubiquitous Apple lightning cable is a total failure as a reversible connector in terms of its reliability. I expect USB-C will be more reliable, at least I hope it is.

Ordered 3 with the coupon code and it totalled £4.75. Just under £1.60 each cable, not too bothered if they're average but the specs alone seem to suggest they have everything.

Yes they fit in my letterbox but the postman is able to take front off our letterbox
We both have HTC M8s which were not listed as incompatible at the time I ordered. :disappointed:
Bargain!!
I wonder have we got different suppliers operating here through Banggood
Here are my experience so far...
1. The cable construction is fine but not as thick as the original .
2. The 2 sided connection is the miss. On the micro side, because of the small design the male connector seems to slip in and go over the female connector. There is a chance it will break the female side on the phone or other device.
Similarly to the USB side, the cable must be properly inserted.
In conclusion, the cable must be used with extra care when plug and unplug. I think it would not get a second one to use on other devices.
Thanks.
* used a 1p to try to depress the sticky-outy bits, it didn't seem like I was making a difference but now it pushes fully in with a satisfying click
I'm happy as the cable is a bit longer than my official Sammy one so more manoeuvrability when charging phone from bedside plug when I'm in bed
Works perfectly on my Samsung Galaxy S6 edge. Fast charges also
As for the quality of the product.
Fortunately, Paypal now know there is a problem and are immediately accepting all claims
I noticed my wife had left our nutcracker on the kitchen counter so I used that to squash the bumps in - the cables are fairly lose now, but better than (potentially) damaging the device.
I imagine pliers would work well if you don't happen to have a nutcracker handy :-).
Might be worth speaking with their live chat directly to request a refund. I had no issues getting a refund through PayPal that way.
Still haven't received mine so think I was right to request refund.
I wouldn't be confident in the reading, without that double checking. There are various different settings to try within the app.
Are you sure your phone is capable of charging faster than that?
Could you post a link to it here too? Would be interesting to see what stops it working for you.
Regarding refunds, I ordered some cables, then the price dropped and I cancelled it and re-ordered. It was very easy to ask for a refund through their website and the funds were back in my account the next day, no questions asked (although to be fair the order hadn't been dispatched when I did that)
The 1p coin fix makes the cable work almost perfectly, still a little bit too tight on the micro USB end but nothing to worry about.
What should I do?
Sorry for those that are having less luck....Perhaps quality control isn't the best.
Post back here with how BangGood are for refunds.
Just sent them an email, if no response by mid next week i'll file a paypal claim.
Tried 3 different chargers and my PC, Nothing

Still waiting on some xiaomi earphones too.
Did get the xiaomi charger I ordered roughly a week after ordering, so hopefully we should get the cables soon
However, pressing down (quite hard) on the four 'teeth' with the edge of a penny to bend them in has worked perfectly. Cable is easy to push in and pull out, but stays nicely in place.
I love them! So liberating!
posted 4/11
Just use a coin to push on the four teeth on the micro USB plug, bending them in a little. 'Adjust' until there's just enough resistance to hold it in your phone without any worries about damaging your phone.
Then you don't need to worry and can enjoy the multi directional freedom!
Patience my dear fellow!
In the meantime put a sticker on your current cable to help you orient it!
edit: came from malaysia - flyteexpress.com
I'm sure we'll soon hear of a few horror stories linked with using these cables soon :-/
They are surprisingly good.
I am now certain that they will not turn up before Christmas (ordered as stocking fillers), removing any faith I had in ordering from China for Christmas. What a shame.
Mine's untracked so just wondering if anyone else (also untracked) has received theirs...
Verdict. Its a very thin cable (narrower than shown on box?) - obviously a budget cable. Micro USB went into MotoG socket but needed a good push/click to engage. USB charger end also needed a firm push to engage. Charging not a problem. Both ends reverse successfully (charging and data). Bargain.
EDIT: here's the thin cable (the far right cable is the advertised item; only time will tell how long these last...

.........................Take it all back, I thought there way no way it couldn't fit so tried again! I applied a little force - it's fairly stiff in my defence - but it does work fine. Carry on.

Still waiting for my cables
Taking some pictures for comparison with other cables etc which I'll upload shortly.
Edit: I looked it up online, "Jubilee mail centre" is their Heathrow depot so I'd imagine it did originate in China, just not shown on the tracking info.
I did upgrade to the next delivery option though - "Standard Shipping: £2.59"
(best to use Chrome with auto translation; actually better to ignore the tracking altogether - its just a game that takes you round in circles; the cables will arrive... when they arrive)
EDIT: service type is "DHLAMR" which might be Registered Air Mail !? Delivery time is stated as 7-25 business days. Ah the fun of ordering from China...
Their internal tracking stopped on the 9th November, so something must be happening.
Mine is FL846****51GB, I thought items coming from China ended in CN?
If you look at a standard fat end its not symmetrical. This one is and hence (in theory) it can be put in any way round. ELECTRICALLY I have no idea (but it must be pretty smart). Doubts exist regarding its charging ability (may vary depending on which way round it is put in). And it may not work at all for some people (may be very device dependent).
We're all waiting eagerly for deliveries...
It's kind of like some kind of weird phone porn.
Nice idea though until USB C is mainstream
They look similar, not sure of the quality.
However, looking across a range of their products, well either they have the best range of stuff in the market or the reviews are filtered.
I do not trust what I see on that site.
I already had one Samsung socket become unusable after less than 18 months. Fitting a replacement socket is very fiddly.
Now what is the effect of fitting these reversible micro USB plugs in without the correct intended support from the casing? Over say a 12 month period ?
I just paid £1.80 each, using the code and ordering 3 cables. Thanks, OP
http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B010XWJBRW/ref=sr_ph?ie=UTF8&qid=1446764858
3 cables were £4.77, I refreshed the screen and now they're £5.63 (both using voucher 12blitzw).
I bet the price will change again before I complete the purchase through Paypal!
And yes, I've actually done real world tests - the thickness of the cables vs their length really does make a huge difference in measured voltage drops and current. :disappointed:
For a mathematical explanation, see this page.
On the upside, it does at least state the thickness (many cables don't) and although 20 or 22awg charging cables would be much better, they are more expensive and harder to get hold of. :-/
I've never had a problem, I just look at the ends and know which way they go and I need to look to see that they enter the ports without causing damage so no extra effort, although I have ordered 3 because it's a good deal at that price if they stand up to the job as queried elsewhere.
thanks

I wonder if anyone familiar with the certification or standardisations of USB products can confirm if this complies with the USB standard?
Had to login to vote it up, bought 3, thanksssss!
Also, this problem won't exist any more soon as USB Type C takes off (will have the same reversible port on both your PC and your phone). May as well just wait until then.
And how will waiting for USB C help ? Will my phone magically update its hardware or be replaced in a recall ?
I call it; your post didn't help me and I just ordered some.
I always seem to have trouble with putting the USB in the right way, and it always takes 3/4 attempts  not sure why.

http://www.banggood.com/USB-2_0-To-Micro-USB-Double-sided-Sync-Data-Cable-USB-Charger-Cord-For-Smartphone-p-1007232.html
Should be OK? The Micro USB would fit in just like a normal cable.
On a side note I'm more interested in this magnetic cable, my biggest issue with the microUSB port is the wear and tear of the port itself, I've had a couple of devices stop charging because the port got worn out, this could solve that problem.
http://www.banggood.com/Magnetic-Adsorption-2_4A-Micro-USB-Universal-Charger-Cable-For-Xiaomi-Huawei-LG-HTC-Samsung-Meizu-p-1004685.html
Personally, I still reckon something like this:
http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/tecknet-6-pack-premium-usb-micro-usb-charge-sync-cables-4-69-add-amazon-78p-each-2314951
A 6 pack of Tecknet USB cables, good reviews, durable build, and only £4.69 for a six pack in mixed lengths, with add-on item free shipping = 78p each.
Ordered for the first time from banggood last week. 10% off if you download and order via app (new user) but you can't use paypal this way. Hopefully that may work on top of the 12%
http://appleinsider.com/articles/14/08/21/apples-interest-in-reversible-usb-plugs-detailed-in-new-patent-application
It will all depend on how good the center bit is, the one shown in patent has a double edge <> and is quite thin.
6% Quidco may track. If not then not really fussed.
Hope the cables come quick, need one for work to charge my phone
I want one.

What I was alluding to is this - the connection point in an A socket is in the middle, sometimes slightly over it. So unless the centre pin on the double sided connector moves or flexes, you're going to have compatibility issues.
This product seems to be a clone of the MICFLIP reversible Micro USB or the Lightors Cable.
It seems to be much cheaper, and features a reversible USB A to boot.
