•Vodafone Smart ultra 6 holds its own with the biggest and best Smartphones on the market but with one crucial difference - the price.
You`ve got to hand it to Vodafone. They`re a cr*p company, but managed to stick their name on a winning phone, selling bucket-loads due to its budget-friendly retail price. Motorola ---with their G--- have been deposed. Long live the King! Heat!

I'm so glad I found this deal on Amazon today. I was able to buy the phone, hassle free, in about 10secs. Totally different to the experience of trying to buy one direct from Vodafone on the HotUK post from yesterday (which I heated btw)
After failing to accept both my debit and visa card, the website crashed. The site then would not let me log in saying there was a problem with the temporary password it emailed me when I was forced to create an account. I tried contacting Live Chat last night to resolve it. Vodafone kept me waiting an hour even though I was told an advisor would be with me in 1min 20 secs! I gave up. I phone Vodafone today but after 45mins and speaking to 3 different advisors I gave up as I was told I couldn't buy the phone via a customer service phone call even though the phone was still in my basket on the website - the only way to buy the Ultra Smart 6 phone was via their website (which I couldn't access) or call into a shop. So during my lunch today, I called in to a Vodafone store, explained my case to the assistant, only to be told they wouldn't sell me the same phone unless I bought a £10 top up!
Seriously Vodafone, if you want people to buy your phones make the process much easier. I've read loads of articles on this site from members complaining about Vodafone's poor customer service and I have to agree. Amazon's site and customer service is second to none. I now have a phone on its way to me in a fraction of the time and with none of the hassles.
There, I've said it lol - Vodafone, get your finger out! :stuck_out_tongue:

OK, so I got one of these for my dad and have had the opportunity to play with it for a while before giving it to him. After setting it up and installing all the apps he may need, here are my findings:
Pros:
• Amazing display. My god, it is excellent. Very high resolution, excellent viewing angles, easy to view in direct sunlight, can get very bright if desired.
• Very nearly a stock Android Lollipop experience. Apart from the pre installed Vodafone apps which can be easily uninstalled or disabled.
• Relatively speedy. Handles demanding tasks such as Google Earth quite well, although the occasional stutter was noticed.
• Sturdy and well built. The phone doesn't creak or flex at all and feels solid in the hand.
• Good speaker performance. Contrary to what a lot of people are saying, I found the loudspeaker to be perfectly acceptable.
• Very bright flashlight
• Very good battery life, even while using demanding applications. I was able to obtain 4.5 hours of screen on time under very heavy continuous use. This is something that cannot be achieved using my iPhone 6
Cons:
• It gets hot under demanding use. The top rear part of the phone can get quite warm when using Google Earth or demanding games
• Very slight lag can be observed in the animations, such as when pulling down the notifications menu - but nothing of any great concern
• The camera. Although very decent in good lighting conditions, it does suffer indoors in low light. You really do need to hold it very still to avoid camera shake. I have tried several camera apps such as the one preinstalled, 'A Better Camera' and Google Camera. All of which produce similar results but 'A Better Camera' has far more options.
I found that you can take pictures using the volume up key using Google Camera and A Better Camera but not the preinstalled camera application. Taking photos using the volume up key helped to prevent camera shake in low light conditions.
• No Sky Go compatibility due to Miracast being enabled permanently. EDIT: Apparently this no longer is this case and several people have managed to get it working!
Overall, despite its minor drawbacks, I found it to be exceptional value for money. The quality of the screen is its main selling point and I will definitely recommend it.

I got mine 3 weeks ago and I am seriously impressed. Replaced my 1st Gen Moto G LTE device and blows it out of the water.
Paid £125 from Amazon and requested a partial refund as it didn't come with Android 5.1 as advertised, it ships with Android 5.0.2. I was offered a £32 refund, excellent service from Amazon yet again and now even more of a bargain.

Looks like only Silver in stock for the moment. I do hope this gets upgraded to Android 5.1 as from past experience with a Moto G 1st gen on 5.02 it was very laggy.

5.1 came out a few weeks ago for the Moto G 1st gen, mine runs fine, no lag now.

Made by ZTE. Unless they have improved their phones substantially, I'd think twice about this phone.

I'm really tempted with the specs, but it does seem too good to be true. Lots of people in Amazon reviews reporting lag/overheating issues. Think I'll just stick with my Moto G and hopefully pick up something more stable in a year.

Brilliant phone. I'd say it's even better than the Galaxy Note 3 which cost me £600!! It's stock Android and very fast. Everything about it is great. ZTE make it and the build quality is very good. Just buy one. If you don't like it you can return it.
