If I had read the comments some of the experts wrote on here I wouldn't have bought the Beelink.
I have an Amazon FireStick and Raspberry PI B+
I bought it I've had it a couple of days.
There doesn't seem to be a lot of support for this box.
Running older version of Android not sure if box can be upgraded
Kodi was outdated. I couldn't work out how to upgrade I uninstalled it then installed from the Play store running Jarvis 16.0
The kodi display didn't fit screen in settings, display, adjust screen worked a treat.
Streamed movies and TV shows no problem and live footy @ 720
Haven't watched 1080 yet.
Cheap box. Does what it says.
Not much difference between using Raspberry or FireStick.
Only issue I have is the wireless won't connect no more. Working on it.
I'm using Ethernet via power plug.

Yes, I got mine last week. It looks quite nice, if not the best build quality. Plugged it in and all worked fine. Powered down and a day later went to power up and it's dead. Nothing, nada, zip! The light on it remains at red and nothing will get it to start up.
I have just sent a ticket to GearBest, so we'll see what happens. Watch this space, as I don't think their customer services has the best reputation.

Yes the amlogic chipsets are better supported if you want it for use with Kodi.

Blackbox is an install wizard so I gather, and The Beast is a special build for Kodi which offers illegal content as far as I'm aware.
Does anyone have any views on the necessity for H.265 decoding and at the resolution of 4K? How useful is it?
Also is the Beelink iOne much better?

They are both builds, using wizards, black box works very well, H265 and 4k, Not needed if you are just using the add ons.If you have a 4k tv, maybe useful in a few years time.

I bought one of these a couple of months back. As other users have mentioned, it takes about 4 weeks to come. Doesn't come with adaptor from EU plug (apparently you can bodge them in a UK socket - I wasn't brave enough). Works great. Perhaps not as quick as other units and a little clunky but works ace for KODI. The remote it comes with is very basic also so I purchased a new one from ebay. It won't let me use iPlayer/4od and netflix plays up also just to note. It says because it's rooted?

The BIG problem with these for beginners is the way they install Kodi. Google Play Store acknowledges its installed - but won't acknowledge an update is available. Most of these have 14.x running on them - the latest stable (and far better in my humble opinion) is 15.2
You can't install 15.2 on these without a GOOD amount of knowledge (Installing ES File Explorer or similar, downloading the APK from an alternative source, pushing it to the box etc etc)
"So what?" I hear many say - (or maybe just the voices in my head  ) well I saw an very noticeable increase in performance once 15.2 was running. The old version didn't actually appear to have any issues - until you see the new one running. Far smoother, transitions are a lot quicker - just a much improved performance all round.
You'd be far better completely uninstalling Kodi as installed out of the box and then installing it from the Play store - googling around watch a few YouTube videos on how to add the various Repos etc. Go through that learning curve and it'll pretty much look after itself from then on - updates etc etc.
FYI - something called "The Beast" works great on Kodi on these - Google it

Thats not correct, XBMC is now kodi, better installing kodi, then using a build such as black box, it still needs constant updating as streams disappear or get blocked, MPAA are having a field day at the moment, shutting down the biggest sites such as YIFI and popcorn time.

I've bought quite a few of these for family and friends from gearbest in the past, always purchased the air mouse from them too, the European warehouse takes about 4 days from date of order to come, the China can take anything up to 4 weeks. To be honest, I would not go for less than 2Gb RAM as, in my experience, there is a need to re-boot the box a bit too often. Having said that, Beelink is a decent make so maybe it will work better.
Use "Freaktab" for info and help on these boxes. They also have lots of custom ROMs as well.
XBMC is now "TVAddons" and everything installs itself (several AddOns are blocked in the UK).
Buy a £10 AirMouse from ebay and you are set to go.
google "seo michael" then the name of the add-on, such as genesis or phoenix for step by step guides to putting them on
