It's true 1080P Gaming is a traditional 2GB mid range card playhouse but when you start cranking settings on say GTA V and The Witcher 3 your going to want the VRAM, I can get a near solid 50 to 60 FPS in GTA V at 1080P but games with big worlds and massive textures are going to start filling up the VRAM and system ram going forward. Some of it is down to lazy development Re: Arkham Knight. You could probably get by for another year on a 2GB card and the latest and upcoming AAA titles and by that time 4GB cards will be the mid range norm.

GTA V is not too bad on VRAM. Batman: AK can be forgotten about.
That's kinda what I thought, thanks for the reply.

This won't perform much better for 1080p gaming than an HD 7870 Tahiti, will it?

I don't like XFX after having an R9 290 that broke after 6 months with no over clocking despite having 5 case fans installed and all running to a good level as heat increases! Also their support sucks and I'm stuck waiting for flubit to tell me what they are going to do with it now they have had it back! Lesson learnt by me is buy through Amazon and go for a good brand like MSI however this does seem to be a good price and mine could have just been a dodgy... Once bitten twice she

It's the higher new titles that need 4gb of VRAM like batman, Gta (although that can easily use more), COD etc older games would be ok

Anyone know if this would be good for 2560 x 1080 resolution for gaming? Can't seem to find much on this card at that resolution.

Not really u kinda need a R9 390 or GTX 970 as a min but at that resolution the higher the card you get the better!

Yeah 2GB versions of these cards are a waste as it's being held back, same with GTX 960 2GB models. I had R9 285 2GB card for a while it was being crippled by lack of VRAM on newer titles. The R9 380 4GB is the card it should have been
