wow, id really be trusting my childs safety and head in a £1 cycle helmet. Maybe id stick some glass or some nails in it for added protection :wink:

Wow ! You think it wouldn't of been tested on safety the same as a more expensive model ?
Plus 95% of kids I see on bikes have no helmet on so its better than nothing

I'm pretty sure the price reflects the fact that the band no longer exists rather than £1 is all its worth.
They're just clearing stock and making valuable room on the shelves.

A test on TV found that cheap helmets can actually be safer than some much more expensive ones. They are all made out of polystyrene anyway.

This is true also it is all about how it is fitted to your head for maximum protection.
