It's a great hub to explore any of the three countries. Actually referred to as EuroAirport. Germany's Europa-Park is only a short distance away, IMO one of the best theme parks around. I regularly use this airport just make sure you use the correct exit, or you'll end up in the wrong country!

Yes I know it's in France. Jointly administered by the French and The Swiss. Just pointing out that it's a great airport for visiting all three countries.

Indeed - Bristol to Basel for a family of 6 in school summer holidays 2016 currently costs £316 for a return ticket for us all - bargain!

Basel is a beautiful city with a wonderful Christmas market. Surrounding area markets are fantastic as well. Lorrach in Germany and Colmar in France also have great markets. We visited a couple of times and would definitely recommend.
