PvP is the weakest part of this game IMO but that why it has a broad appeal - it suits a variety of gaming tastes...
I've put soooo many hours into this game and the previous 2 expansions but I'm still bitterly upset at the pricing of the DLC alone - £40 for 1 add-on to the faithful who have already paid £80 when noobies get the game plus all 3 add-ons for £30...? Great for newcomers but a massive kick in the happy sack to their loyal fanbase :disappointed:

Completely agree, I've played about 10-15 hours which is more than you expect from most games these days and I'm yet to hit any repetitiveness. I love it personally.

The Taken King expansion makes it better but it is still very much Rinse and repeat. I like it but you need to put lots of hours into it to get the most out of it which for me is too much especially with the games coming out over the next few months.

PvP is excellent but after story its a bore, the raids never kept me interested and took too long and too much walking/jumping about to get a chest! Yet to try Taken King but refuse to buy the entire game again when I already own the Collectors edition!!

Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes has more story than this game...

I second this - considering the season pass got you two pretty subpar "expansions" im never getting a season pass or giving bungie any money ever again...

While I completely understand, this has been happening for many many years with games that require expansion packs. I used to play WoW and paid the full £30-40 for the expansions on release day and through the years they've offered 50-90% off the entire collection (£18 was their latest offer for all expansions, where as I paid up to £150+), how else would they entice new players to the game?

If anything, you should be thankful, how many people would want to play Destiny if they had to go and outright buy 2 games and a season pass? Not many, if any at all.. You're gaining new people to play with all the time because of their generous offer.

On topic; It's a pretty **** poor game overall and they're milking the crap out of it.

People moaning about the game. This edition in the series is hitting high review marks. Not every game is for you. I personally have 180 hours on record with the game and still play it daily. It's up to you how you want to play the game.

Got this last week and really enjoying it. I suspect I wouldn't have enjoyed it as an earlier adopter. When destiny 2 comes out I will probably wait for a GOTY edition again.

I get that they need to entice new players... but not alienate their existing ones... the price of 1 add-on pack should always be less than a collection of all of them and the base game.

Im all in for Crucible but having played WoW and refusing to pay their ridiculous prices to thats why I know the raids are poor and not enough going on, too much wandering around to be called a raid its more of an exploration like LOTR style.

Just my opinion, but the game was, and still is, a ripoff. The expansion packs are (to a large extent) simply adding content that was originally going to be in the first release of the game...

BUT... just received mine and the code on side is CUSA00568, doesn't this prevent downloads etc? There's also no PS4 seal, just plain.
I remember these codes being important with COD few years back. I'll crack it open and try it anyway and report back!

and thats when i bite, sold my original destiny when this came out because i wasnt willing to pay the extortionate price but this is reasonable and now im back onboard

I did the psn trial of destiny, I was a halo fan. But whilst playing the trial I found the game very lonely, you have to put a lot of hours into it ranking up and trying to fins people to play with u. I yet to play this with online players because no-one has joined. Except when your at the city where everyone goes to. But they are busy sorting out their gear and higher level. I get mixed emotions from this game as I don't get a lot of hours to invest into the game before things get going. They need to sort out balancing and finding noobs altogether for missions etc so everyone one can enjoy it from the start. Good deal though. But next on my list is rainbow six seige, starwars battlefront.
Good find for people who have a lot of time to put into the game. Well that's only my opinion, everyone's an individual.

I don't want to buy it to find out by the time I start playing, another dlc is out. 20/ expansion or 30 for everything at that time.

Whilst I agree with you on the pricing side, existing players will always have something that money can't buy and that's experience in the game, a mass amount of high level characters or have obtained items that are no longer available to new players who have just signed up.

The unfortunate thing for consoles is that they can't use the same model that they do for PC gaming because it just doesn't work like that, if they released the taken king without the base game, players who have never played the game are very unlikely to go out and buy the base game + all expansions and it could cause confusion for new players. I purchased Destiny on day one and I haven't played it since then and I wouldn't have a clue where to start if I had to manually go out and buy the different expansions, etc.

Saying that, £30 for ALL dlc and expansions is crazy, I can see why existing players are **** off, there should be a £15~ upgrade option for people with the season pass or have previously purchased the other DLC, etc.

This is a great game for people who have never played Destiny yet. With the TTK expansion the game is what should have been released a year ago. Reworked original story alongside a fantastic new story with great voice acting, and in general many improvements.

Still though, find people to play with.

Destiny original, is a good game. Destiny legendary for £30 is probably the best price for a game you will pay/play for a while. If you haven't jumped into the Destiny world just yet, it is a must!

I had the game for a few months now. Only really started playing it last weekend as got the legendary code working now. My brother eats sleeps and lives destiny. I started on level 25 and just reached level 27. I do find myself going round to the same place again and again for different missions. But hopefully the world's change. I'll play it but hopefully won't become an addict.
