So £400 Panasonic sets also Vestel? I'd feel robbed if I paid more than £150 for Vestel

Vestel is a cheaper brand tv with better branded name slapped on it

The TV isn't built by Panasonic, it's just got their name on it. Like an ASDA Polaroid TV.

They make TV's (panels or innards or both) mainly for the big supermarket own labels but also make them for 'brand names' such as Toshiba. More recently they have started producing sets for Panasonic at the cheaper end of their range.
They are basically considered inferior in reputation to in house manufactured brands. (If anything is still made 'in house' these days)

If you can get one that doesn't have dark corners then this is a very good price; if it has the dark corners you end up with a poor vignette effect that needs a replacement.

Hate the whole vignette thing, always have

Panasonic model numbers ending 00B are Vestel made. Saw one side by side with a real Panasonic in Sainsbury the other day and they are a million miles away.

Vestel on the up though. Laughed at Japanese TV's, then Korean ones, now Chinese and Turkish.
got one of these and took it back....careful....smart menu slow and limited...very bad refresh rate (could see pixels when action was fast)...remote app for my phone didn`t recognize the tv....no support from Panasonic.

I want Panasonic to be a superior TV. I am expecting to pay a slight premium for that pleasure.
I don't want a cheap/inferior Panasonic just for the sake if the name especially as they don't tell you nuts a Vestel set!!

Lower wage costs mean cheap TV's for us.
