Can't really attach a link to a date because there are many 4.99 each way flights to Oslo Rygge from London Stansted and try and find one with a 9.98 return (theres many) and youve got yourself a bargain.
An example is Nov 5th - Nov 9/10/11th

Why? I've never been to Norway but I've heard nothing but positive stuff. Do you just mean is expensive there?

I've just come back from Norway using Ryanair to Rygge, this guy above knows nothing.
Anyone who's actually been to Norway will also completely disagree with him.

It can be very expensive there but if you lookaround you dont have to take out a mortgage lovely place
Also a great place to start a glitch flight like i did last year to NY for under £180 return

Remember to take food with you. Everything closed, nearly all time except in a few cities. You'll starve at the weekend if you're not prepared.
Oh, there's always petrol stations. Can buy a roller burger or cheese on toast dripping in grease for a tenner
Do make sure you rent a car though, then jump on the ferry if you're heading to Preikstolen direction. I'd personally avoid Oslo if you're looking for a cheap weekender. Preikstolen, Trolltunga and stuff like that are decent and reasonably rewarding. Good bit of driving though from Rygge, but doable. I've done it, stopped off in Kristiansand at the Budget hotel, a quick nap then on to Preikstolen the next day.
Can be a pretty cheap weekend, though the car rental is probably going to skin you 100 quid or so. Essential though. Public transport in Norway is as big a joke as the ability to get something to eat outside any major city

Absolutely loved Oslo. Good Tip. Find an hotel with a good buffet breakfast , then you turn this into your main meal.
we walked around in Oslo , which is free. visited the sculpture park which was magic in the unseasonal warm spring.
Oslo is exorbitantly expensive. we came out of a sweet shop and burst out laughing. Two chocolate bars and two soft drinks would cost something like 12 pounds.
Almost everyone speaks excellent English in Norway.
Take the opportunity and visit this wonderful country.
walking is free. Oslo is wonderful. And , a visit highly recommended is the Fram museum and the wonder park with sculptures.

We unwittingly paid £60 for a snack meal for 4 which included a small bottle of beer for £9, admittedly it was at the airpor as a stop off, but still it came as a shock!
