If you love PC gaming, then this is what you've been waiting for. This Windows 7 and Windows 8-compatible controller brings the feel of the Xbox One to your PC. It includes a micro-USB cable that lets you plug in and start playing. It also comes with a battery pack, which lets you use it with your Xbox One as a second wireless controller.
Had to Google just to make sure what you said was correct before I drop £32. Tempted to buy for a 2nd controller and then sell my xbox 360 controller (pc controller) on and just use the 2nd xbox one instead.

Don't think it's the new controller with 3.5mm headphone jack on it though. That's my only worry.

If you have the controller already then any micro usb will do.

I don't believe this is the one with the 3.5mm jack built in, Google check showed Amazon (US) has been selling this for a year now, and MS only just released the new controller, so likely to be old stock.
I't possible they are discounting the product to make room for the Wireless adapter which os coming out very soon...though that is only Windows 10 compatible (Until someone mods the drivers to work with Windows 8.1 and before)

That's what I thought after googling it. I'm still tempted to get it as a second controller as I need one for the GF. Doubt we'd do local play with headphones on anyways.

For me it's a no go, as I'm likely to use it as my main controller and use my current XBO controller as a back-up as it's been randomly just turning off then back on again when i'm playing games. it's frequent enough to call it a faulty but enough to annoy me.

I'm lucky to not have that issue. I've only just gotten the Xbox one (that Game deal a month or so back, came with the new 3.5mm headphone controller). It's barely been used as I've been trying to hold off gaming for Fallout 4's release.
