What kind of music does this band make?

Well...
"Microsoft Band and Microsoft Band 2 meet these standards for dust- and water-resistance:
•IP6X: No ingress of dust. Complete protection against entry of dust.
•IPX7: Protection against temporary immersion in water (at depth of 1 meter for 30 minutes).
•IP67: Meets both the dust- and water-resistance standards above
"
IP7 is the same rating as some other smart watches/fitness bands advertised as waterproof.
However, MS choose to not warranty it, which is a shame. So it meets water ingress standards, but I think MS realise it's not suitable for swimming so choose to not market it as waterproof. Possibly one of the many sensors causes trouble.

Microsoft will be offering £70 trade in on the band 2 when it comes out next month so a great way to try it out.
Disclaimer - I have the current band and it really is a nice bit of kit - It even helps you keep up to date with new deals on this site - check it out:

Really like the idea of one of these - in the whole "smart wear" fad, these still seem one of the more solid options. Still can't stomach £100 when I won't use half the features personally.

It's not uncomfortable to wear daily, band 2 looks like it's more comfortable it plays nicely with iOS not Apple Watch play nice but no problems when I had one

The revised Microsoft Band looks far more ergonomic, however after considering cashback for the first revision Band it is a whopping £121 more and very little difference in functionality.

I've just tried to but it, but the payment didn't go through on both Opera and Firefox browsers. It appears their shop will only work in IE and I won't use that, so no sale, unfortunately. £99 saved.

Ordered mine yesterday and arrived today, tracking still at the lower rate but sure they will increase.
Just to let you know, make sure when (if) you order you include the Zagg shield separately as despite on the page saying its free you need to order it on the same order.

This looks like a nice bit of kit. I like the Cortana integration too as I have a Lumia phone.
Cashback showing as £4.33 but should increase.
The free ZAGG invisibleSHIELD Screen Protector is only available if you order before the end of the month. They are usually £10.I would have bought one anyway so this makes it even better.

Mine turned up yesterday evening - Very happy. However I didn't realise I had to add the ZAGG invisibleSHIELD Screen Protector to the basket so it obviously didn't turn up - A quick call to MS and they added a £10 credit to my account to order the screen protector - very good service Microsoft.

I have mine on just now and it is very uncomfortable on my right wrist, its ok on my left wrist but I also wear a watch. Unfortunately it is going back.

21 Oct 15#31
I am using it to replace my watch.
I like it but am not 100% convinced I will keep it. I'm not sure why the cashback hasn't shown the proper amount yet.
Also I ordered the large size but there is a bit of a gap. It's not a snug/tight fit like a proper watch. Does that matter when it comes to the Band taking body readings ? I don't wear a watch when I am indoors so keeping this on feels a bit peculiar. And of course my phone will drain the battery quicker as it now needs bluetooth turned on to sync with the band.
The steps walked count isn't that accurate around the house. How are these detected ?
I'll see how well the sleep monitor goes tonight and maybe wear it to work tomorrow to see how I get on, being very careful not to knock it on anything if I plan to return it!

mine was large also and I hated the gap. it's just too uncomfortable due to the rigid rubber and I also found the step counter inaccurate.
KongDonkey
22 Oct 151#33
I think I should have got the medium size. Even so it's just not comfortable enough to wear all day compared to my normal watch. And I didn't like wearing it during the night to monitor my sleep patterns.
The notifications are good though and I like the Cortana integration but you need to have your phone nearby to bluetooth this info across to the band.
I will probably return it and wait for Band 3 in the hope it is thinner and more comfortable.
Shame really as the price + cashback is very good.

Great bit of kit tho, went for run last night for a 1.5hr run with GPS on and wore it to sleep and wearing all day, battery down to 40%.

Hey dudes - not a regular TopCashback user so just checking is this still seems to be working?
Hopefully no one else had this problem. I purchased a Microsoft Band, Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter and Arc Touch Bluetooth Mouse. I was expecting £105 cash back but only received £5. Used quidco for years with no issues, wont be using tcb again.
