In the Amazon listing the seller is described as Ebuyer UK Limited. Is that the same as ebuyer.com, and is it reliable?
Is there anything else I should be aware of before buying it?
The listing does not state that the phone is unlocked. Is there a chance that it is sneakily locked to a network?

They are being sold as low as £289 atm, so it's not the best price, as for the seller I'm not sure on their reputation, best off waiting for Black Friday in November 27th, I'm sure the G4 will be nearer the £250 mark by then and an instant purchase.

That Sim-Free usually translates to unlocked.
It is a decent price, I believe it was for 299£ recently and you could have got it for 230£ when ebay did that crazy flash thing (of course asuming you don't mind ebay (business) sellers). It was also on a flash sale for 250£ (if my memory serves me). Note that this is all past tense.
If you want the phone now from a reputable seller this is the way to go. If you are not in a rush, wait for a while, it will likely go down sometime soon (holidays and all that stuff)...
Buying from Amazon marketplace seller rather than Amazon gives you less protection and customer service than if you buy from them directly (324£ I believe) but is still way better than ebay...
Your call, overall it is not a bad price and you get some heat.

THanks for the tip. I have wasted the last year trying to choose a phone, so another month won't hurt!

Awesome. Best bang for buck 2015 I'd say. Just to have a removeable battery these days feels great.

It's technically not as good as the Galaxy S6, in almost all areas. DXOMark rates the camera overall as better, although the aperture is better on the G4. If you need a removable battery and expandable storage then get the G4. I personally don't think they matter. The reason the S6 doesn't have expandable storage is that it uses UFS NAND storage which is faster than any other phone, using expandable slower storage would create a confused experience and the chipset is the best on any phone this year. I could be biased as I have an S6, the main problem with the S6 is the battery, however it's hardly any better on an iPhone 6S if you prefer Apple. The S6 has the best screen easily on any phone in this form factor, although some people don't like AMOLED panels. If you want a better camera then the Xperia Z5 has the best camera on any smartphone.
You can't really go wrong with an S6, G4 or Z5. In terms of power they rate 1. S6 2. Z5 3. G4 in terms of camera they rate 1. Z5 2. S6 / G4 I rate them so close as they trade punches, DXOMark rates the Nexus 6P camera as better than the G4. DXOMark score only shows S6 Edge as 2nd place however the S6 also gets the same score. DXOMark is rating based on absolute values and isn't taking in to consideration ease of use, auto mode etc.

£80 more, can be had for less quite possibly, first deal I found on here.
Forgot to mention the S6 has a Fingerprint scanner as well which the G4 doesn't have.

Will the lack of a finger print scanner cause problems for Google Pay?
Apart from the, I love the camera and leather back.
Anyone know if it's possible to unload the LG user interface to return to stock Android?

I got one last week on the great eBay 20% sale.
Brilliant phone... Massive though, genuinely doesn't fit in my jeans pocket.

I played with a z5 and is struggling to open those "big" pictures under "pressure"(I don't recommend one Mr Bond) ,g4 is quite snappy and looks like good value for money,s6 is nice(curved or not is a hot overpriced phone),iphone was nice until I realised that I'm ltd; will stick with my s4 until sams put back the removable battery, ir blaster and sd slot in note 6...
