Do these have a constant draw, and I am sure they are not regulated yet, so home insurance would become void. I know when I asked my home insurance they wouldn't cover any electrical fault that came from these, and would in fact void my insurance..

Tbh you're probably better off picking up an Anker (love that company name) 5 port USB charger for similar money that'll charge more devices, faster.
These are the prettier solution for sure but I think the 5 port chargers are the better option, heated!

They also have single sockets with two USB ports for the same price. Bought and fitted two yesterday, they look a bit cheap (i know that sounds stupid as its only a plug socket!) but they work.

I have fitted loads of these USB sockets and the MK one is definitely the best quality, worth the extra few pounds.

MK ones are well over twice the price- £23 for one vs £18 for two! These are LAP branded - although they may well be the same thing underneath.
Always on.
Have MK had one out for 2 years? AFAIK their one only came out in the last 6 months (a socket with a built in USB plug, not a single USB socket and nothing else).
MK = Quality brand for sockets etc. Generally a bit more expensive. I think their USB double socket is the only double pole one on the market.
I had these put in last month when new kitchen was being installed. Work well.

Does anyone know if the USB chargers in these are always on? Do you need to flick one of the switches for them to start working or we they always on?

they run a standby mode when nothing is plugged in. once you connect a device they charge immediately

These won't work for long. Been through 4 now in about 5 months. They've all stopped charging within a few weeks. Very noisy as well compared to other makes. Spend a bit more and get an MK one. Had one of them for over two years. No problems and almost silent.
