I am looking for a tablet for my son. Would this be better or the google nexus 7 2012 version? His sister has a google nexus 7 2012 and its been great but wondering if this would be better?

I'm guessing that it's a condition of the deal they make with the wholesaler/manufacturer to make them supposedly 'box open' or 'refurbs' - so they can be cleared out at the lower price.
Most of the refurb items sold by Argos Outlet and similar sellers are brand new, but with just the packaging opened or tampered with a little bit. That's how the overstock selling system works.

I paid £49.99! Received the tablet and it had scratches on it. They claim they're brand new but they're not plus the case they sent me was used and filthy. They refunded £5 plus sent a new case.
