By far the cheapest I've seen it, worth it at this price! Prepare for the "**** ending comments" though.

I loved this when it was on, but the last season was so bad it's ruined the rest of the show for me so much that I can't even watch the previous seasons I owned on DVD or repeats when it's on E4.

Agreed, the final episode was a travesty that made the previous 7 seasons completely irrelevant.
I can't bring myself to watch any episodes now knowing that everything will end horribly.

I must admit to quite enjoying this when it was on but agree with mscAUser I have no desire to revisit it anytime soon, especially after that terrible final episode.

Have you seen the alternative ending?

Loved the ending! Why would Ted spend so much time (9 years  telling his kids a story? And why did the very first episode focus on you-know-who? Because the show was never about 'How I met your mother'. Clever internal logic.

It may have been their intention from the start, but the characters and actors had no chemistry together, it never felt like a relationship that could ever work, they were hoping for Ross and Rachel and they got nowhere near it.
In a long running show characters evolve naturally and these characters had no business being anywhere near each other, it was obvious to us all. So instead we spend 7 entire seasons following their break-up just waiting for the highly anticipated meeting with the mother.. and when it arrived.. they nailed it. She was perfect for Ted and everything seemed right.
Then in the space of one episode, they backtrack on everything and **** all over the happy ending we thought we were going to get..
The ending I saw.. was filled with tragedy and ended with two people resigning themselves to being together for the rest of their lives, in spite of the fact that they had nothing in common, widely different world views and a history that will only bring up awkwardness and discomfort.
In summary, it was a bloody stupid decision and whoever decided to air that finale should never work in TV again.
