Not exactly free when you have to pay £10 per person

It's a deposit, you get it back presumably.
If you're into paintball this must surely be hot - a days paintball for 10!? That's got to be a few hundred in value right there.
With my gold membership it's brought it down to £35, not too bad at all.

You have to pay for more paint balls, the actual paint balls you'll be given is very, very small. That's how they make their money. The actual cost of getting in and the small amount they give you isn't worth much at all.

I stand corrected clearly, last time i went paintball it was a good £10-20 per person. Although i think we got 300-400 paintballs rather than 100.

paintballing is essentially free anywhere. places round my bit are begging you to come in.
once your there you need at least 100 paint balls per game minimum and usually extortionate.
i would advise taking about £80 with you for paintballs, food and drinks even if you get in for free.
once your in they bend you over like £5 for a pot noodle, etc.

This. The "free" or "special offer" tickets are just bait.
This is why I much prefer airsoft. £8 gives you ammo for the whole day and more.

I've never forgiven shopto for the broken copy of halo 3, losing halo 4 and charing my bank account £500 for phantom orders I never created.
Cold, game deal was cheaper

10 friends go for £10?
Seems a good deal, sadly I haven't got 10 friends, I haven't got any friends really.

You shouldn't ever have to pay anything to actually go paintballing as there are so many free deals. As others have pointed out, the main cost is in the balls themselves, 100 balls that they normally give you will last you an hour tops even if you are conservative. Expect to easily spend £30-£50. You can buy paintballs very cheaply but centres won't let you as it "blocks their guns" which is code for means they make no money. Still a good price for Halo though, but an example of people voting based on something they know nothing about.
