Just received at email showing Halfords selling the edge 810 for £189.99.
I've got the 800 which is great and this is the upgraded version which should be even better!
Nearly £215 on Amazon.
Ends tonight and online only (but click and collect is available)

The 810 is noticeably worse than the 800 - it has better features but introduced bugs and other issues you just don't want when cycling. I had the unfortunate issue of it crashing mid-event and losing all my ride data, so I looked up the problems I'd had and it's fairly common (many threads on it). The touchscreen, display quality and UI on this device remind you of an early smartphone from mid-2000s! I ended up reverting to a basic but reliable Edge 200.

I'd rather a resistive screen that worked with any gloves and preserved battery life rather than a power guzzler needing special gloves and an HD resolution I wouldn't appreciate on the occasional glance down while riding.
Going back to a 200 is fine if you don't need Navigation, heart rate, power, cadence, etc.

Why is this so expensive? What is it used for?

Bike sat nav that is weatherproof, has great battery life and can display altitude, height gain, heart rate and pedalling cadence. it also sync with your phone to display messages, send tracking data to loved ones, weather alerts, etc.

Just looking at that myself, got the 500 but very tempted.
As mentioned, don't forget 10% voucher discount, quidco and British Cycling, makes a difference!

In the T&C's of the British Cycling discount it says "May not be used in conjunction with any other voucher." - Can anyone confirm this can be used?
Seems it's only available to reserve in-store and nowhere near me has stock. The B16BK12 code doesn't take anything off either.

Used BC discount plenty of times like this. Bought a boardman bike on behalf of a workmate a week or so ago with £250 off, the extra 10% flash discount and BC card.
