Will the blades in this be suitable for fruit carving?

listing doesn't say what they're made of which is odd! I guess they're not stainless steel though, in which case I don't think they'd be suitable.

I've spent more money on take away. Bargain.
Can't really think what I will need it for as I already have a xacto knife for cutting paper but for a tenner i'll keep one in the house.

I have one of these and they're designed for small modelmakers using balsa or jelutong as a craft wood because it comes with the strip cutter and mini-plane. Unfortunately, scalpel type blades do not stay sharp for very long and are replaced often for ease and safety so don't think this kit will be all you need for carving and trimming.
However, what these are very good for is pumpkin carving. The gouging tools and carving blades are great for surface cutting the skin of the pumpkin to create intricate designs like the professionals. The blades are just carbon steel, not stainless and do rust. So you'll need to clean them off properly.
