Much prefer this to heinz. I find heinz watery too. Branston sauce has been hard to find in most supermarkets local to me so usually buy own brand but will stock up on some of good stuff. Thanks.

Yep I agree heinz and the rest have water at the top but u never get that with branston.. so when it's on offer like u I fill my boots lol...

I like Branston but the Lidl's ketchup is the best IMO

We always used branston until we were at a friends a few month back and they had lidls, tastes the same if not better, even did the lidl taste test on the daughter and lidls won(_;)

M&S Smokehouse Tomato sauce is so damn good... but not cheap... 250ml for £1.50 and usually in the 3 for 2 offer.
Branston is very nice as well though. Heat added.

It's been at this price for a few weeks hasn't it? I bought some a few weeks ago for this price and again a few more on Tuesday.

But tomatoes actually are mostly water, and its not a massive deal to give it a shake, is it?
I have looked up the ingredients, out of curiousity:
Heinz: Tomatoes (148g per 100g Tomato Ketchup), Spirit Vinegar, Sugar, Salt, Spice and Herb Extracts (contain Celery), Spice
Branston: Tomato Puree, Sugar, Spirit Vinegar, Modified Maize Starch, Salt, Flavourings, Prepared with 151g of Tomatoes per 100g
So Branston wins marginally on percentage of tomatoes. But, Heinz ingredients look a bit more natural - no 'flavourings' or 'Modified Maize Starch'. I'll wager that the added modified maize starch is what means Branston doesn't get a little water on the top that needs a quick shake to mix in - I suppose you pay your money and make your choice about which matters most to you.

COLD. its just 55pence for lidls own brand which is probably the best tasting ketchup there is beating even the heinz..
