Because it's a quality machine that should last 12 plus years.
If people want cheap unreliable crap then buy a Hotpoint / Indesit and replace it every 2 years when it breaks down and costs more than the original price to get it repaired.

Just ordered one from Very. £699.99 minus 10 percent as it was my first purchase from them. Costs £6.99 delivery So with the £250 cashback from Bosch the price I paid is £386.98. Seems a good price to me.

If you're so interested then compare the specs and the reviews and you'll find the answer.
A+++ is a sign of efficiency, not some sort of grading of quality

Got to laugh at all the people making out that Bosch are the highest quality...What a load of exaggerated rubbish the Logixx range (the most expensive and only ones still made in Germany iirc) will last a few years but they are NOT Miele.
I bought my current Bosch Logixx WAS32462GB two years ago for £649 (discounted from £699 at JL) and the basic warranty is just about up - 1600RPM, 9KG, A+ Rated. I honestly don't know if I should pay for the extra 3 years or just let this give up. I've had constant electronics problems with it (I have been told to power off and hard rese it three times and now know how to do it by haert) and it frequently decides it won't spin dry properly. Service man changed the electrics circuit board and it's the same. It is quite quiet though - just not a reliable as my old trouble free AEG...another brand which has, apparently, let standards drop.
Bosch are a decent brand but they are not elite or anything.

The Hotpoint washers from years ago are a completely different machine from the crap they make today.
Todays rubbish is made to a very poor standard and that's the reason they cost very little. if your lucky it will last 2 years with daily use before its knackered.

A friend of mine had a hotpoint for over 13 years - it's never given him a problem unless you are throwing bricks in for a spin.

The Bosch washing machine is cheaper than the other brands above as it will last for absolutely ages & probably with absolutely nothing spent on repairs. Over its lifetime, the Bosch is cheaper.
Or you could buy a cheaper machine and spend about £50 a year on breakdown cover, plus all the time wasted waiting in for the service technician.
As for millionaires buying it for quietness, well the properly wealthy should be able to park the machine away in a utility room where it should be barely audible in any case.

TOO PATRONISING DESIGNER... LOL!!!
It bleeps for 5 minutes at every other minute. My Kitchen is loaded with Bosch and while I thought a wise purchased, it is a nightmare inc the microwave for non stop 1 minute of bleep and the dishwasher and the oven... Seriously Bosch, your designer, what was he thinking, we adult still in Kindergarten???
Hope this helps someone into not committing to Bosch, thinking it is class and upgrades!!!

That whole 20mins a washer spins at full speed must be devastating to them. Twenty whole minutes! of their 1440 minute day. This will only leave them with 1420minutes of peace!!! I mean its not like a washer sits in a room all by itself anyway. Its sits right next you on the couch. So yes this overpriced clothes wetter is definitely worth it. 1440mins of peace.

Top end bosch are good, but they also seem to be making to a comparative price point - need to make sure you know which model is which.
( I gave up on a mid priced bosch - now got a 10kg maytag)

looks like power direct have increased the price after my purchase at £622.32 maybe not so hot but still the cheapest, Currys are also selling this for £730 but you can use a £40 discount code to bring it down to £690 and they stock it for next day delivery.
Id be tempted to go down this route then, surely it would be easier to return if there are any issues?

I bought this in Jan 2013 and its been great. Misses some of the bells and whistles you get on a Samsung/Panasonic/LG for similar money, but we're on our 3rd Bosch in 18 years as a family of 6. First two still in use with older family members, we upgraded for the size on this one and for aesthetic reasons for the previous one when we moved house. We paid £519 from Curry's back then, so good price for this.

It's a washing machine - There are no other specs one should know about apart from that.
It spins and washes clothes - I just don't understand why it's so expensive.
