As a 27" 1440p user I find that the pixel density is a little low and that 25" would be perfect.

Don't know how my deal turned into a discussion on Korean monitors but hey-ho.
Here was my experience, back in the day the QNIX QX2710 was the one to get as it overclocked well and didn't cost the planet. Now the QNIX has fallen in quality drastically and the Crossover 2795QHD is the one to go for.
I didn't order pixel perfect and got a monitor without stuck pixels and almost non existant backlight bleed.
I used the seller accessorieswhole, however dream-seller are also highly rated. They will often ask permission to lower the marked value of the monitor to reduce costs to themselves and you, up to you whether you want to do it.
To avoid import charges, ask for the following to be written in big letters on the outer packaging:
"EU TARIC 8528593100 APPLICABLE"
You can see what this means here. You'll still be charged VAT at 20%.

Not bad, but as always I have to recommend this seller for cheap prices, the same panels as named brands here in the UK (generally better in fact and with more overclockable refresh rates) , fast - under 5 day tracked posting and no import charges if you inquire kindly for them to "sort" that for you.
I paid around £200 three years ago for my 27" 1440p, still rocking it. Have added two screens more from that seller since.

It's grand, it was only £600 from the outlet (i7, 16gb ram, 1tb 4k inspiron 7548) and I got a 10% discount because of a customer service SNAFU that I complained about, so for £540 I'm pretty chuffed.

the point about 4k on a small monitor is pixel doubling, everything looks incredibly sharp. I have a 15" 4k inspiron that I run at 200% and people always take note of how nice the display is.

I was thinking (although not 21.5'') of the-
Dell P2415Q 23.8-Inch Ultra HD 4K LCD Monitor (2M:1, 300 cd/m2, 3840 x 2160, 8ms, DP/Mini DP/HDMI (MHL)/USB) - Black
but it is 'matte' & I like the look of 'gloss' (the imacs have 'gloss' & an anti reflective coating).

Well it's Apple. They haven't been a truly innovative company for years.... the 4k 21.5" iMac exists because they know they can slap a silly figure on and people will pay it.
I just think from your average monitor viewing distance a 4K monitor on a 21.5" screen won't justify the huge premium you'd pay (we'd probably be looking at £600+ if a monitor existed) for something you'd need to be right up against to notice difference IMO.
Because it is. What's the point in resolution you can't see?
mamboboy
15 Oct 15#16
4K at 21.5" would be absolutely pointless.
If you're gaming you'll need to spend another ~£500 on a 980Ti and all for something that will be pretty much indistinguishable between 1440p + AA on a similar size monitor. And if using it for design work the screen would be far too small.

I dont game.
I dont really like large screens. I think they take over a room.
I possibly want a smaller monitor to connect a 2015 rMBP 13''
Why do you say '4K at 21.5" would be absolutely pointless.'.....when apple has just launched a retina imac 4K 21.5"?

15 Oct 15#11
Yep. Brands like QNIX that are built for the Korean market but are shipped here very cheaply.
EDIT: Just had a look, it appears what you're after doesn't exist yet. 21.5 inch is quite small for a 4K display.
