Come on cold voters, tell us all why this is a bad deal. You obviously know where the better deals are at so spill.

on the same note, have any of the hot voters used one of these over a period of time to be able to say it's worth the money?
or are they voting solely on the price?

Yeah, I got the cold voting snotty t*rds when I posted the socket set from Lidl on the same Lidl selection. Far better than I thought it would be too. Same will apply to this. The cold voters must be having their nappies changed by their girlfriends as it's gone hot.......

People vote on price for the product.
Also its nothing to do with the equipment if it lasts or not. Its the user whether they use it correctly and what their expectations are not the limitations of the product. Ie lack of common sense.

Funnily enough, got one yesterday. Works well, speed is adjustable, everything seems well built and working well so far. Have done straight cuts and angled cuts to shave off a triangular piece, all good. Comes with three standard wood blades and one metal blade.

Our current jigsaw doesn't engage withe blade anymore, so we've been searching all weekend for a casual DIY jigsaw, it's between this and an Argos one, can't see anything else for under twenty with warranty!

I got one of these last time they did them. They are very good for the money, the only problem I have found is the laser line is about as accurate as a blind man playing darts, so be careful when using that for the first time Although it might just be my one.

I've yet to find a tool fitted laser line that actually works! Although with jigsaws I do find if you apply too much pressure the blade twists and goes off line. If you let the blade do the cutting then it's better (but obviously much slower). Good quality blades also helps.
This is a good price for a pendulum jigsaw though.

yes they probably do vote on price. if a tool is made from poor quality materials, then regardless of how it's used, it may not last. it's really silly to believe otherwise.
cheap doesn't always equate to good value!

Been waiting for something like this, my old jigsaw is rubbish and doesn't cut well at all.
Hopefully will have some left by the time I get to the store.

Tripe. Most cold voters vote cold due to WHERE it's from and often due to WHO'S posted it.
They tend not to have a clue what positives or negatives there are about the product

just because someone votes cold on a deal, it doesn't make them snotty turds. has it crossed your mind that they might have had the product before and found it to not be worth the asking price?
in my experience, one of the main product types where cheap generally does mean rubbish is tools. i have some good quality power tools that i have had 17 years and they're still going strong. and as a tradesman, i use them a hell of a lot more than a diyer. i wonder if this jigsaw or those sockets you posted will be like that. thats the issue with cheap unbranded tools. nobodies had any long term experience with them. they might be fine now, but could be in the bin in 12 months.

Cold votes can mean the deal is good: people want to bury it so they can buy them all up themselves and flog 'em on eBay, or they're already flogging them on eBay and don't want the bottom to fall out of the market.

I beg to differ - from experience.
Oh, it's not 100% of course. Theres genuine cold voters, from good reasons.
They're NOT in the majority :stuck_out_tongue:

I go on my experience of an angle grinder for £14 5 years and still going.
Mitre saw 20 quid lasted me 7 years
Lawn mower 25 quid still got after 6 years.

These parkside tools are made by heinell in a german factory.
I haven't got a Parkside jigsaw, but my mitre saw has been going strong for almost 10 years on almost daily use.
I must have built 50 kitchens and 200 cabinets with it.
And it takes standard blades that you can buy anywhere differently from the challenge (Argos) tools that are odd sizes.

How did you get the mitre saw for £20???
I paid mine £80 10 years ago.
Maybe you have the small one, mine is the 230mm sliding and swivelling beast :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks for posting this. I needed a cheap jigsaw for chopping pallets, etc for my wood burner and this is ideal. Plenty in stock at the Halifax Road, Sheffield, branch.

I picked up one this morning... seems to be decent quality considering the low price.... try to find a half decent, 3 year warranty 800 watt jigsaw elsewhere.
