14 nights travelling around Thailand for just £527.85 including all flights, hotels and ferries.

This deal is based on 2 people travelling from Manchester on 3rd June 2016 returning 17th June 2016 and visiting Bangkok, Phuket, Phi Phi islands and Krabi.

There are similar prices from London in May/June.

These dates are flexible and can be altered for a similar price.

Holiday summary

Return flight to Bangkok from Manchester 3rd June returning 17th June - £740.20 - £370.10 - booked through TravelTrolly

Bangkok - 4th June - 6th June staying in MHC guesthouse which has amazing reviews - £35.62 - £17.81pp - booked though Expedia

Flight to Phuket - £18.93 - £9.47pp - booked though Air Asia

Phuket - 6th June - 9th June staying in the beautiful the little moon residence - £25 - £12pp - booked through Booking.com

Ferry to Koh Phi Phi Don - £16.30 - £8.15pp - booked through PhiPhi-ferry.com

Phi Phi island - 9th June - 11th June staying in Phi Phi Dream Guest House - £25.54 - £12.77pp - booked through Agoda

Ferry to Krabi - £16.80 - £8.40pp - booked through Phuketferry.com

Krabi - 11th June - 16th June staying in The Small - £115.30 - £57.65pp - booked through Tripadvisor

Flight to Bangkok - £44.01 - £22.01pp - booked though AirAsia

Bangkok - 16th June - 17th June staying in the MHC guesthouse again - £18 - £9pp - booked though Booking.com

Total price for holiday - £1055.70
Total price per person - £527.85

This price doesn't include luggage however it includes a 10kg standard cabin sized luggage, for travelling around Thailand I would recommend a backpack or just a hand luggage case, especially to keep the cost down.

Transfers from the airports/ferry ports in Thailand are super cheap therefore I wouldn't recommend booking them in advance!

I agree with you I didn't touch anything you have to rent!
if renting take photos of everything and make sure they see you taking photos of the bike or jetski ect.

One thing which really got my gears was the forced ticket price when you get to Phi Phi. all the signs say it's for keeping the natural beauty but every corner you walked down there was just tonnes of rubbish everywhere. clearly no housekeeping at all.

I can confirm that from my experience in Thailand they do dot like damaged notes. We even had some train tickets refused once as they were supplied to us with staple holes in.

First went to Thailand in 82...and Phi Phi island only had a few monkeys on it...it was stunning....went there in 2014 and couldn't believe how much it had changed...and not for the better...Phuket has the usual farang strolling around with girls(or boys) at least half their ages...grotty and seedy is the best way to describe Phuket(and Pattaya) now.
Gangs seem to rule the roost at nearly all the beaches with the sole intention of ripping tourists off with damage (alleged) to jet skis..etc..nah...not for me but perhaps I am just too old to appreciate the good things about Phuket/Pattaya/phi phi island?

Ooo that's good I'll have to look into that for all my other trips I hate bank charges
spatter
20 Oct 15 #60
I tiny bit. But they HATE crumpled or marked notes. Take clean £20's and you'll be fine. If you use an ATM they charge over 3 quid PER TRANSACTION (if you take out 100 Baht or 10000)/ Plus your bank will charge you at least 2% and probably more. Cash is king there.
casablancas to spatter
20 Oct 15 #61
What you on about, Thais are not bothered with the state of your money (Burmese are). The thing that annoys the market stalls is the large 1000bt notes- normally go into 7/11 to change for smaller notes.

If you set an account up with Norwich and Peterborough they dont charge for withdrawals abroad, perfect as a backup card for anyone doing some travelling

I enjoyed Krabi the most. Yes, it's quiet but there were so many idyllic beaches and islands nearby and longtail and taxis were cheap.

Phuket is fine if you don't stay in Patong Bay. Karon or Kata are better choices.

Also, if you do a Phi Phi island tour - pay extra and go on a private tour cos those cheap ones are awful.

Krabi is fine, it's quite a small and laid back beach town so not like Phuket resorts. Railay beach is a short boat ride and there's other excursions if you want to break out. However, Khao Lak about an hour north of Phuket has much better beaches.

Me and the Missus really liked Chiang Mai, nice food, nice people. Phuket was ok.Some nice hotels and quite a fun place. Went to Pattaya (not on Blue Skies itinerary) a few weeks ago and thats worth a visit. Not half as bad as I expected. Gave Walking Street a miss (too dodgy). Stayed at Rabbit Resort (nice retreat on Jomtian Beach). Lots of great cheap food. Been to Bankok a few times. Its ok. Find a decent Jazz Bar and relax.

Post has got to be given heat for sheer effort and the fact that Thailand is a great place to visit.

Patong is crazy, I'd say it's worth it just for the experience. Bangla Road is like nothing I've ever seen before (both in good and bad ways). The beach itself at Patong is awful (too many Jetskis), but there's plenty nearby and attractions all over the place with transfers available.

I've done these places. Krabi is not worth 5 days of anyone's time, and Phuket is Thai Ibiza. Phi Phi is the best thing on here. I booked my own flights and accommodation and had 3 weeks around the man destinations in Thailand (inc flight from Bangkok to Krabi for about £1300 in total on what was a medium budget. So yes this is really cheap but you are basically just seeing the party destinations, but it's hot if you are up for this.
