This doesn't seem a bad price at all for around the Christmas/NYE period. Spend Christmas in the UK then head to Sharm (Egypt) for NYE. Departing on 29th December and returning on 9th January (11 Nights).
Hotel is based on 2 adults on an all inclusive basis in a great rated hotel in Naamba Bay - the Oriental Rivoli.
Hotel and Transfers £558.44 @ lowcostholidays (I did get a £40 code to work initially the tried it again and it wouldn't so perhaps you may be able to try it, may be a cookie problem so I haven't included the discount here).
Flights £315.96
Total £874.40/£437.20

Sharm is nothing like Tunisia, it's set up as purely a tourist destination and completely separate from the rest of Egypt, everything is sectioned off to stop people wondering into places where they should not, and even the taxi drivers require passes to enter different zones, the security is good they value the tourist industry because they need it.
I've been twice now with my family which includes my two young daughters and consider myself a caution person. There are risks where every you travel, not so long ago a poor women got beheaded in Tenerife. You can only limit risk and by staying at home trolling on hot UK deals with your ignorant views I really hope your next holiday to butlins goes well but you should really let other people research and learn for themselves.

UK government advice on UK: Threat level SEVERE
(SEVERE = an attack is highly likely)
Guessing a lot of people itt won't be going to Egypt on holiday and will soon be moving out of the UK..
Honestly if you think like this you are playing into their hands. Why risk driving on the motorway, you might crash.. why leave the house at all anything could happen..

I've been looking for a holiday package to Egypt/Sharm for March 2016 and was told to avoid Oriental Rivoli (Na'ama Bay) by a friend who just returned from there. Do some research if you're interested in booking this deal before you actually book it.

Good, keep up the advice, aslong as you lot are put off, the prices will drop all the more. I have just returned from naama bay and not a single person over there shared these concerns. Terrorism is a threat no matter where you go in the world, the biggest targets being major cities such as New York, London and Paris, so does that mean your never going to step foot in these areas too?

Sharm El Sheikh is not on the Government list as dangerous. It's safe. Check it out.
