Seeing as a lot more orders will be placed on Amazon today by fellow HUKDers, I thought it would be good to remind people that a minimum 5% of your purchase value will be donated to the RNLI (via the 'Get Deal' link).
Was about to order the £19 Fire TV Stick without going via the link - but now £1 is going to the RNLI.
Quite correct, but the general public should not be funding the RNLI or any Air Ambulance services at all via charity donations. They should be 100% funded by the lottery as a "good cause" rather than some of the ridiculous groups who get such funding from the lottery.

If our government are stupid enough to leave loopholes that allow this then fairplay to them, no one volunteers to pay tax! besides any extra money they pay in tax comes out of the consumers pockets at the end of the day via product price increases, our government will only waste it on massive donations abroad or undeserved MP pay rises anyway
I prefer to have cheaper items from Amazon, rather than tax paying for an MP's second home

Good reminder OP, the RNLI is a critical service/charity for this Isle.
Life savers working in extreme/difficult conditions should always be supported imo.

Amazon have also recently decided they're kind enough to pay some corporation tax...
