At four times the price I would hope it is better. The wired versions of these are not expensive from most DIY stores and aren't difficult to install. This is worth a punt at the price as it offers easy installation. voted hot.thanks for sharing OP.

This item is not available until Thursday 2nd of July. Am interested in buying one but it cannot be reserved as Lidl do not allow you to reserve items. So heated for the information but a minus for Lidl.

Voted hot. Good price but not sure how bright it would be. I have THIS ONE from Amazon & it's great & really bright for a solar powered light.

i live in a nice area but if someone took a fancy to this out the front of my house i would rather lose a £9 lidl one than a £40 amazon one.

With that variant of led it won't be too long before you get uneven burn / lessened illumination, those multiples are a bugbear of mine, they aren't bin units (tested for equal output, just a hotchpotch, which makes em cheaper, & you get caught in the long run) ..which is why I go for singular emitters, or proper grouped emitters, still cheap though.
Not a knock of the product justan fyi

The trouble with Lidll is they only get a few in each store of these special offers or the few sit in the warehouse instead of being delivered to the store on the advertised date. The idea is to attract customers into the store to hopefully buy something else. If you live near Lidl store or are passing that way then call in, other wise avoid Lidl .It is about time they woke up and offered something like ordering or click and collect as at present they just alienate potential customers..

Never had that trouble myself, but then again I shop there all the time and don't make 'special trips'. Maybe their actual customers buy their offers rather than tourists?

But this very business model allows them to keep costs down and also differentiate th themselves from others - no expensive click and collect infrastructure (and staffing) to worry about (how many times does it fail to work properly at the likes of Halfords and B&Q?). The variable nature of the goods also means they only buy in stuff at a certain time when it's at a certain price point etc. Personally I've not had much trouble finding stuff in stock and rarely get there on the actual day they go on sale, unless I've left it days after.

do you queue before opening hours to get in and stack your trolley with the half price specials too?

With Lidl one you're recommended to upgrade batteries, buy silicon spray and you'll end up spending not much less for light that's still significantly worse.
