I bought a pair of these last year and they're great for the price. If you're very worried about security, the lock is basic and just covers the hole you put the allen key in to adjust the caliper.

Requires a vehicle with roof bars already fitted unfortunatly for me as I was after a set for my saab 9-3 with gutter mounts.

More than happy to buy Lidl stuff, by and large, but the quality of a lot of their cycle and car equipment has proved distinctly iffy after a fairly short time, and the warranty's of limited value by the time you've taken the return postage to the manufacturer into account.

Bought a pair of these a couple of years ago to fit on a Mazda 5, fantastic quality for the price

Whilst I haven't seen then in person yet, these seem to be identical to the ones they have been selling for the last few years. Bought mine last year and have been perfect - even survived being blown in to next door's garden when the roof box they were attached to, along with the lid of the Keter store they were sitting on, took the brunt of the storms a few months back!

Will fit my runaround Lacetti Estate fine, great for hauling larger antiques around, great.

In law your contract is with the retailer. Just stand your ground if they try that nonsense. It's one of the few downsides of shopping for durables at Lidl and Aldi but the latter were very helpful once I explained the law to them. I had a dripping Aldi tap and the charming (really) regional manager tracked down several spares at other stores and delivered them to me with their apologies. Can't promise they'll do the same again but I was impressed! The replacement taps (I only needed the cartridge inside) have now been working without issue for six years; they were £13 vs £100 for similar Bathstore ones which aren't quite as good. I think you can shop at Aldi and Lidl with confidence.

Shame only for vehicles with rails, I've just been looking to get roof bars and these would have done me apart from the rails issue

Does anyone know if these are suitable for a 2007 Audio A3 with silver rails on the roof?
