Had this kettle, great looks but sounds like a jumbo taking off, unable to hear anything when its on.
Avoid at all costs!!

My 6yo Russell Hobbs died on Monday morning, got a temp £5 Asda one that takes forever to boil, doesnt pour properly & scalds your hand if you open the lid too soon after boiling... but now this has possibly come up! Almost perfect timing!

Been up since 5am, but I`m now off to Tesco! ;-)

Just a little update, I`ve just had to put mine down, it started leaking about 6 weeks ago, this morning it had emptied its entire contents over the kitchen worktop & floor.. The spring in the lid was knackered within months too, but I could live with that.

So, I just got the second one I got down from the loft.

My previous Russell Hobbs kettle lasted around 12 years, this Breville, 14 months... You know the saying, buy cheap, replace 8 times!
