Ok - a bit of a niche market but it's a great deal so might help someone out there. considering i was first offered 3 yrs service at £1200 and then bought it down to £850, 5 years under £500 is fantastic.

The first service is £340 so this is a no brainer.

Only available on new evoques purchased within the last 90 days (although they can be flexible as i was on a different plan and they have swapped me over without it costing me anything)

thannks to all over at evoqueowners forum.

Oh gees. You really do bring HUKD down. If you're not in Windows Phone threads spewing bile, your being a jealous type on a car thread. Horrible horrible bitter little man. The Evoques footprint is probably similar to any estate car.

Besides the fact many people get their motors on PCP these days, so the list price isn't that relevant - just the monthly payment.
I found Land Rover to not be competitive with PCP compared to Mercedes (who are exceptional on PCP)
But Land Rover know they can sell everyone they make, as they are desirable.

You only have to click on the 'GET DEAL' button and it's set out very clearly so even simple folk can understand - five services with lots of content (especially on a diesel).

What is it that makes people like you post rubbish? It only makes you look stupid.

Jimmyboy
15 May 13 1 #134
The total cost of 3 services at a Land Rover dealer won't be £100-£150 though so not sure what you're saying here?
warmasice
15 May 13 #133
£499???... Dont assume you will get 5 services. For the average user with modern longer intervals you're probably looking at 3 services. So, thats 3 oil filters and a bit of oil, maybe 1 of those services will include and air filter (cost of £10). Abit of a rip off. Not to mention while your car is in for a service they will try and find a million faults!.. Total cost of oil and filters for 3 services will be no more than £100-£150.

Anyway, i didnt think people with rovers had any money for servicing!

Funny thing is there are a few over on the evoque owners forum who have the Evoque Dynamic Si4 (petrol and not as economical as is quick engine)...costing nr 50k, they then spend money on detailing it. however, if you read their posts, they are really 'sensible' with their money. A lot of them buy bits from ebay. They look around for the best deal on everything. Hence this deal got flagged up there and lots of people have taken it up.

15 May 13 #131
If only it was that easy, believe me Ive looked into all the in's and outs. Apart from the fact the Norgies, like the rest of Europe drive on the 'wrong' side of the road the Tax involved far out weights the savings. Only official dealers can bring cars in from Germany (for example) and offer the (Norwegian) standard of 5 years warranty. That in its self is worth its weight in gold.

Im looking to buy a 2005-2007 M5 as a run-around for the UK/Scotland next month. You cant buy much for that price here in Norway at all.
trigger_andy
15 May 13 #130
You guys in the UK have it easy. My X5 in Norway is well over 120k, 3 months old. My mate back in Scotland bought a brand xDrive40d Sport for 55k, you cant get a 2008 model for that here.

wildswan
15 May 13 1 #128
From £29,200 for the 5 door pure, goes up with trim level so not really £40k start price.

My 2 1/2 yr old A4 Avant was £32k so an average price for a prestige model.

Just because someone likes to save money doesn't mean they won't be on HUKD. I recall a while ago someone posting the keys to their Aston, and that isn't the only person on here.

I bet there are plenty of us who could afford a £40,000 car if they wanted to. I for one could have done exactly that, but I was boring and put it into the mortgage.

I love saving money. It means I can use that money to buy even more things I really want!

Not rubbish at all. Firstly Im not in the UK. Maybe Norwegians have more taste? The dealer is a friend, we were out test driving a new M6 they have just taken delivery on. He was getting me a price for a new M5 and I asked what he would give me for an Evoque as I was offered one as a private PX on my X5 with cash my way. He choked a little and said he would not even consider taking it in. I guess if I gave it to him for peanuts he'd take it but he'd dump it in the auctions thats for sure. Believe what you will.
DonDraper
15 May 13 1 #105
Rubbish. Evoques, love or loath them, are one of the easiest P/Xs out there, that's always the way with cars with significant waiting lists.

Your BMW dealer would take an Austin Allegro in p/x if he thought it would make a sale for him.

I work for a franchised dealer, if you were to have all the services seperately, with main dealer pricing you're talking about over £2000 for 5 services. So the price is fantastic, and it gives the dealer the opportunity to sell more work when you come back. You'[re under no obligation to have that extra work carried out by them!

You should service your car regularly in order to prevent anything going wrong internally and to keep it in the best possible condition.

True. If your silly enough to pay dealer prices to change brake pads, etc. There is no reason to do that. Those kind of items have no bearing on the service stamp and that's what people want. This is more about price surety than money saving. A good deal none the less.

Seems a pretty good deal. I paid £300 for three years servicing on my BMW. I thought it was a good deal until I first turn the engine on and it told me the date of the next service and it was 2 years away!
Should at least get your money's worth on this deal as over 5 years. If the service intervals are 12 months then even better, would guess more likely 24 months these days.

As for people with Evoques using hukd this site isn't for people with no money it's for people that like a deal. I've had three different brand new cars in the last 2 years Mercedes, Porsche and now BMW and still like a dishwasher tablet deal from Tesco!

If this covers labour and all fluids and filters, then it really is a brilliant deal..... although I wouldn't trust main dealers as far as I could throw them. There's bound to be some small print allowing them to extract more money out of you.
