But it's a small difference between this water and Tesco value water, isn't it?

Bottled Water, is always filtered tap water, Spring / Mineral water is Spring water, I am surprised there are people who think otherwise?

who should you trust now? Tesco or your on intuition? Tesco and Asda (and maybe others) were found out selling bottled tap water - the description states "Mineral"... who are we to believe?

It doesn't say mineral at all; the tap water is the stuff they call 'still water' or 'table water' which you'd have to be pretty stupid to think it was anything special, hence why only the tabloids have bothered to publish articles about it.

Forgetting the tap water thing (which this quite clearly isn’t), it’s doubtful this will be nationwide. Each different part of the country has their own different version of this water, in my part of Scotland it’s called ‘Perthshire’ mineral water and was full price in Dunfermline an hour ago.

I think all parts of the country get Perthshire water in Tesco, I live in the East Midlands and we've got both though Perthshire is dearer presumably because of the extra transport costs.

"This pure, refreshing Ashbeck Natural Mineral Water is sourced from the rolling hills of Eden Valley on the edge of the Lake District, in a protected Special Area of Conservation. The water flows deep below ground through rocks dating back millions of years. These ancient rocks naturally filter each drop of Ashbeck water and enrich it with minerals to give a clear, refreshing taste."
Clearly states that it's mineral water.

Sorry but unless you are in japan, singapore tap water from other countries is dirty. I've seen how dirty public toilets are in uk. I_can imagine how dirty public water supply plants are.

We had this in my local Tesco a few months ago. They had it at 52p for a few weeks. Bought loads to stock up. But now I've run out. I believe this is a local deal. I went to 3 tescos in my local area and the deal was only on 1 of them. Good find.

No... The ones that say mineral or spring water are exactly what they say, it's when it doesn't mention these that it's tap water, but I don't know why you'd expect anything different...

I will happily pay 17p for a bottle of bottled Yorkshire tap water. Anything is better than London water!

This water is better than all others in my opinion , When i drink other mineral waters they have high bicarbonates and it makes me dizzy and when i drink ashbeck it feels cool and refreshing , Best water

I use still mineral water in a 90 gallon aquaruim ( no tap water ) . Over the three years i have been doing this the only fish i have lost have been through old age !! . Prior to that , using tap water i was forever losing fish ..because water tested straight from the tap had so much crap added to it . Fish in the wild swim in water that has a lot of NATURAL chemicals added by nature . It was a big risk and the conversion to natural water was done slowly and it turns out to be self balancing so water changes have only been done a couple of times a year . If bottled mineral water was tap water .... why am i not losing fish , why is the water so stable i only change water a couple of times a year , why are my plants growing better , why the fish more active and living longer ?.. ANSWER ...good mineral water is as far as you can get from the chemically manipulated tap water .
