It transpires that my fridge did arrive on Fri 23rd, while we were away - I only just discovered yesterday. One of our neighbours had taken the delivery, and the driver hadn't even left a card through our door to let us know, to add to the fact that it hadn't arrived on the pre-arranged date.
I phoned Asda Direct this morning, and they apologised, refunded the £3.95 delivery charge, and also sent me a £5.00 e-voucher in the way of an apology, so kudos to their customer services department.
Hopefully now they can resolve their systems problems that is causing items to be delivered on incorrect days.

Was in my local Asda today - they had stacks of these - priced 'on sale' at £77 (reduced from £138 i think).
They also had stacks of matching freezers (shame they weren't on the original offer as well) at a bit more (£93?)

Likewise - I paid £5.95 to get delivery (to the office) on the afternoon of 5th Jan, but it arrived at about 9.10 this morning. Incredibly fast delivery, and they're lucky I was here (we break up for xmas at lunchtime today).
