This might just swing me to getting Prime. As long as there are no extra charges and there are some decent books included.

Isn't it just Kindle, which you can run on any device. Lots of books are available free without prime. You just need an amazon account

There are loads of free ebooks on basic account, and elsewhere, but this offers a load of normally paid for books for free. The selection isn't amazing, but a wee bonus for Prime sub.

Definitely not just launched... I've been using it previously for magazine subscriptions.

Strange I checked recently and couldn't see it on the UK site.

Magazines I use it for are Sky at Night and Lonely Planet traveller.

PlayStation magazine , Stuff and T3

Thought I'd try this out so I put an android emulator on the pc then downloaded the kindle app to that...
Then I realised you can put the kindle app directly onto the pc without needing an emulator
Then I realised why I never bought a kindle in the first place as its such a lot of faffing around to use ...
Think I'll stick around with proper books for a while longer

This has been around for a while. Sadly by and large the books on offer are crap.

been using for a while too as stated, good for mags, struggling to find many decent non fiction books but really recommend "d-day through german eyes", a real eye opener, had to buy book too as it was so good!!

Knew it wouldn't take long for Amazon to buy a town. Didn't think it would be Reading though :wink:

Oh I agree. I would not be without Prime especially as I wangled a student deal so get it for around £40 per year for four years. It is terrific value for money. I think considering books are what they are from they would have done a better job of this. They should be releasing big names from the 70's 80's and 90's that we all know but perhaps no longer sell in great numbers. It would not have hurt revenue but would have been of interest to binge readers who never got around to reading Jilly Cooper or DIck Francis type books or were a bit too young for them the first time around.
