They won't honour it, legally they don't have to either as it has to be a nominal value, even 1p is fine. Even then they don't have to honour it, so companies do to avoid bad publicity and create good publicity, brand damage is very costly

Are you sure? The box they come in is very pc like but mine contained the PS4 game and badges. I thought at first I got a pc version also until I opened

But seriously, does it actually say PC DVD-ROM on the front or mention Steam on the back? Because if you've received the right edition it should come in a cardboard slipcase that doesn't mention any specific platform at all - and there is no PC version of this edition, so they will be either XB1 or PS4. The only way of telling the difference is the barcodes - Xbox One is 5-030917-206580 and PS4 is 5-030917-206573.

This is funny, now Amazon has changed the price and made it much cheaper. It's more similar to the price in GAME.

They put it up to over £40 about a week ago, had been about £12-13...

Surely free or not you have grounds for replacement? Like you purchased "forget the price" an item and got the wrong format as advertised. They should replace it as that's false advertising and misleading. If you wanted pc... you would have got pc

I think you have to take out the extra stuff that comes with the Amazon standard plus edition, such as the special edition pin badges, and then hopefully there should be a regular copy inside the box.

For everyone that ordered both versions and is worried that they either got two PC copies or just don't know which box is X1 and which is PS4

Check the barcodes. Those ending in

573 are the PS4 versions
580 are the Xbox One versions

I'd be surprised if they really got the PC version, while
mix ups in warehouse orders can be fairly common, they are far rarer with brand
new boxed products, the probably just saw cardboard box and assumed PC, which
isn't the case anymore, heck most PC games don't get a box at all these days,
they land on Steam and thats it. I'd have actually quite liked the PC version
as I have a fairly decent system and could probably run it better than either
console one, though I'm sure the PS4 version on a PS4 Pro will come close.

Anyway, if they really did get the PC version I am pretty
sure if they asked nicely Amazon probably would swap it as they do have
extremely good CS and sometimes will go well out of their way to help. Still I
think asking for a replacement on a free product technically none of us should
even have got would be taking the pee just a wee bit :o

Anyway got both mine yesterday and they were both the
correct ones so massive thank you to Amazon, really good of them to let them
all through. They must have noticed at some point, don’t think that volume of
orders could slip through undetected, but didn’t bother to pull the games back
or cancel remaining orders so good on them!

A small part of me wonders if it was actually a ‘deliberate’
mistake, sure it would cost them money doing it, a fair bit, but still nothing
that is going to give the CEO sleepless nights and on the plus side it drives
massively more people through the site while placing their free order, who may
well see other stuff they like on sale. Unlikely? But stranger things have
happened….
