Son loves this, hes only three and has it on his kindle so this will come in handy on our phones in case of emergency

Fair enough, though I think it could have still been a fun game without being so scientifically misleading.
Anthropomorphizing the elements is cute.
Unlocking the periodic table as a sort of rpg exploration is a nice mechanic too.
Doing 'stuff' to transition between the elements is fine.
It's just the 'stuff' you do is so..... bleh.

It's for toddlers and lower primary. I don't think you need to be too concerned that it's not scientifically accurate!

my science teacher father in law made the same observation after.my 4 year old proudly showed him his 'science game'.
im simple terms i think its simply trying to introudce the concept of states, the elements the periodic table etc. lots of possible combinations of activity - my kids like it.
