Fans of old school MS-DOS style puzzle adventures are in for a treat as indie developer Wadonk has released its inaugural title Captain Cowboy, a retro arcade puzzler oozing with 8 bit nostalgia that’s been designed for one handed play. As a fearless space cowboy who has become trapped in a perilous alien space mine it’s up to players to dig their way to freedom while of course picking up any diamonds they find along the way and subsequently running like heck away from any pursuing aliens. Diamond mining is also often a risky proposition for other reasons as they usually lay right beneath giant boulders that fall at the slightest disturbance which means players will need to not only be quick when grabbing diamonds but will also need to think strategically and be aware of their surroundings. With no iap’s or ads in sight and a classic old school approach to design Captain Cowboy feels like a nostalgic blast from the past.

The trailer itself would of sold me this game, so getting it for free is a bonus!

There's always room for old skool games on mobile tech. 43mb file. Heat for the Freebie I wouldn't otherwise try.

Seriously, whats your problem? It's normally a paid app for free, so no (or less) intrusive iaps or ads, how can that not be a good thing? If this isn't to your taste just scroll on to the next freebie, hardly rocket science...
