So you're confirming this to be true from your own experience or is it just "obvious" to you some how?

25 Feb 17#58
Obviously not. Otherwise one of the biggest reasons to use the premium service would be out of the window.

seems like a lot of people have made use of these GPM offers before. can those people tell me if you were still able to listen to the music you got during the free subscription after the free trial ended??
As I'm a user of GPM anyway, but only with my own uploaded music at the moment.

Thankfully I already had a second account set up for mailing lists etc that I haven't used and that has never been used for GPM so all I need to do is migrate my music over from the other account and spotify. Does anyone know the best way (free please

If you happen to have a Chromecast, just open the Chromecast (now known as Google Home or Home) and check the offers page.
Google regularly add offers that are exclusive to Chromecast owners on there. I've had the free 4 month trial a couple of times before.

Well... I currently have some tracks on Google Play that I picked up for free previously. I can download mp3 versions of those tracks.
So is there anything stopping me from downloading tracks during the subscription period, then cancelling and keeping the mp3s?

ta very much, tbh never used my previous free trial (must have been over a year) but will give it another chance.
Tend to listen to music on my pc and playing in a tab is a bit cumbersome so giving this desktop player a go: googleplaymusicdesktopplayer.com/

They have 2 separate services , The music unlimited service is far more expansive than the normal one they give Prime members . You are clearly not using the Music Unlimited one .

You've got to be kidding!! I've been using it for about 6 weeks now, and whenever I decide I want to put something on Amazon that's on my music on Spotify I've less than a 50% success rate. When I look for new music I can find it on Spotify, Deezer and GPM but rarely on Amazon. Maybe for mainstream, commercial music it works well, but from my experience it's got the worst selection of any of the 4 I've used.

I'd ignored all the previous offers, but this one seemed to be too good to pass up. I'm impressed so far. Not sure I'm '£9.99/month' impressed, but I've put the cancel-buy date in my diary and will decide then. Lots of obscure stuff that I thought I'd have to track down on physical media is available here.

Amazons music unlimited puts spotify to shame with sheer choice , You are talking about their bog standard offering that you get with amazon prime for free, There is another offering from them called "music unlimited" which has over 40 million tracks for £7.99 a month (prime only)
Search it and get a 30 day free trial , You can cancel immediately and keep listening for a month .

It's a great deal but it's a rubbish service. I've been using it for a couple of months and the software is dreadful. I'll be cancelling after my free period.

Excellent timing. My 3 months free Deezer (through three), following 6 months free Deezer and many, many months free Spotify had just ended. I'm fairly sure I've had a three month free Google Play Music at some point too. Was pretty close to paying for something but was difficult to do when I've had approx 2 years almost continuously free subscriptions.

Appeared on my offers on google play app at the top of the page the other day and I signed up before it vanished again. First of the recent hot deal offers I've had in a long time with google play, I do have a Sony phone but I didn't receive an email.

Personally I found that there was more of the music I was looking for on Spotify than GPM and I preferred the layout on the Spotify app, but I soon got used to GPM and it's way better than Amazon's effort (I've got 6 months free but the music selection is very limited).
This is the best premium offer out there at the mo I think. Does anyone have any good Spotify deals? I posted one for 2 months for £1.99 but was hoping for something a little longer lasting, like one of the 3 month ones they had last year.

I got the offer for 4 months, but I've noticed one glaring issue with Google Play Music compared to my current service, Spotify, which is the lack of Amazon Echo support. I've tried searching Google for ways to get around this, but it seems as though it doesn't seem possible.
I might try the service anyway and see how I get on.
