Got a message from MS on Xbox Live, just said there was an error with the code and sorry for the inconvenience, no mention of a ban....

And nobody got banned, seems he knows less than he thinks he does.

​Offline since downloaded, it's quite a shiznit game, might just activate online and see what happens, no loss if I lose the licence as it's not as good as GTA v.

​Game still working fine and got it several hours ago and have been online all day playing GTA. Just anytime I exit Watchdogs (tried 3x) and try load up another game I'll get a brief network error and have to open new game twice. Possibly a Ubisoft app issue though as l linked that up and if I click the error takes me to Ubisoft app so probably best not to link up your stolen game lol

​Good luck to them trying to ban that many people, how many would take losing their whole digital library sitting down. I think revoking it from everyone would be the preferred option they will take.

Dunno why people are worried?

Same thing happened last year with Fallout 4 and basically Microsoft revoked the license and gave everyone £10 credit for their mistake.

Cant Ban people for downloading something that is a Microsoft issue.

There's got to be at least 10% of xbox owners have done this glitch.

If my account gets banned, my console will be up for sale come the new year.

A lot of people would do the same considering the library from xbox live, and digital downloads are now lost.

Microsoft are far behind the ps4 market and if they ban that many people. Everyone would just pick up a ps4 instead of a xbox one from the bad press and the negative bad word of mouth.

It's not worth it in the long run, and I'd be speechless if Microsoft went this route.

Some people on Twitter have been contacting Microsoft support asking for the game license to be removed from their account because of the worry of being banned. Looking around on facebook and other forums I would say the glitch has been used by thousands of people which is only a good thing as I really can't see microsoft banning that many accounts.

downloaded in under 1hr on virgin 100mb.. son playing it for last 2 hours no problems.. bought this from amazon so gives him a chance to try this or send back to amazon unopened after Christmas.. i did open a new live account just in case they do ban him .. was looking to buy this myself for my ps4 but not that impressed with the game .. even if they do revoke the game think i will be sending the original back i bought him and change it for foza 3 for him

Still working for me. Downloaded this morning. Perfect for me as I'm getting a Ps4 version for Christmas. Even if it gets revoked I'm covered. Nice to spend a few hours getting into the game.

Particularly liking the graphics and animations.

​The game still works. Just when I exit it does something to my network connection so have to force close it before opening another game. Maybe I pushed my luck downloading extra add ons and signing into Ubisoft for free game money - where as people are being more sensible and playing offline!! I'm more interested in seeing what their online set up is like though so just treating it like a demo and seeing what happens and if I grow to like it may buy it when I have to. Download took a while at first but let's you launch at 40% or something but second half faster.

Unlikely to ban everyone who's done this as the number of accounts won't be small it's been all over social media so anyone who doesn't own it is likely to have at least been tempted!! Probably just tell you you don't have access to it when you load it up in a few days.

Reading back through the comments, i find it highly amusing people are mentioning stealing from the devs.... come on, it's Ubisoft Montreal, the same team that released Assassins Creed Unity which was an absolute disgrace on release, I didn't see them clamouring to give everyone a refund for a complete broken mess.

Did this earlier this morning and it has already been removed from my account. Ah well, nothing ventured, nothing gained. I doubt there will be any further repercussions than that since this was all a giant Ubisoft and Microsoft balls up anyway.

​I've played offline for a while but yeah this game is pretty rubbish. Tries to act "hip" but fails. I feel the hacking mechanic is forced down your throat a tad too much. Unlike what dogs one, it wasn't overwhelming with what you can hack.

This only felt interesting when trying to sneak missions with the small bounce bot, but I feel rather bored with it.
