Watching on demand will give the best quality, if you watch channels live it's usually lower quality. This is the general way with Now TV from my experience. Except on the latest Now TV Smart box which apparently plays live channels in HD. Don't know about BT Youview box specifically

Despite the fact that the first pass was not showing up it appears to be still active so I do have two passes. Free movies until 27th Feb, so back to being a happy bunny.
There is a big cancel button on my page which if you hit will cancel any future payments but allow the current free passes to run their course.

You need to have less than 30 days left on an active pass in order to be able to apply a new one. So, from what you say you'll need to wait 4 days and then (providing one of the free 30 day codes are still valid) apply to your account. Wait another day (so the free code has gone down to day 29) then you can apply the second free voucher code. Don't forget to cancel straight after applying to avoid further charges but you'll still get the free 2 months. HTH's :smile:

On the card does it say sky movies or sky cinema? Many people had issues when they swapped over from movie to cinema. If you use the now tv chat service on the site, and tell them the card won`t work, they should activate it manually for you.

I used the first one the other day fine and had to wait until today to use the second, however it now is giving an error with the second one, for some reason the app thinks i have no Cinema pass and if i try to add the second code via the app it says i already have an offer applied... but if try to actually watch something it tells me i need to add a pass or pay. Messed up.
Edit - Spoke to support on the live chat and they sorted it out for me, apparently the system was just slow in renewing it with the voucher when the old one ran out today.

It is a bit like netflix, its the Sky Movies equivilant. If you can get the Now TV app on your Smart TV the answer is yes.
If not then you need a Sky NOW box that plugs into a HDMI port. Various options out there between £10-£30 odd - usually the same box but bundled with various vouchers, the cinema pass (movies), entertainment, sports or kids pass, usually between 1-4 months bundled. So if you need to buy the box you may as well buy one bundled with entertainment, sports or kids passes as this post is to get the cinema(movies) pass for free....

No, the offers will have expired long before you could use them all. The 2nd code expires 29/12, the first expires 6/1, you need to have less than a month left on your passes to be able to add a second voucher.

just fyi for future, this is the same as sky movies EXCEPT the cost is MUCH lower.
2 months worth of sky movies through this costs around £8 depending on where you source your vouchers from. If you want to replicate most of sky you can buy Sky entertainment for around £3 per month meaning you get basically sky through NOWTV for around £11 - 12 per month for both entertainment and movie channels (FYI you can watch live TV, as well as catch up ad on demand for both).
The cheapest sky package which includes movies and entertainment through your satellite dish cost about treble this.... worth considering whenever you are coming out of contract.

All major companies use crm systems to data capture customers. The crm system is sky's so once you're on there you ain't a new customer until your drop off (usually a year out of contract)

I just signed in using the sign in link on the 30 day offer web page with my existing Sky ID email after having done a password reset. It has come up with the 1 month free trial.
So it has treated me as a new NowTV customer :smile:
Hope this helps anyone else that has not used NowTV and wishes to claim the 30 day new customer deal but has a Sky ID from a different Sky service.

Now tv are part of Sky, but they are not the same company. You can be a sky customer already and become a new now tv customer. No one at sky will help you if you have problems with your now tv, and vice vera.
The only time you would be committing fraud with secondary accounts would be if you used incorrect personal details, such as billing info or credit card details Having a second account with a different email would not get you cut off or have you end up in court for fraud.

Someone stated it is possible to add the second code if you have already input the months one. Can anyone clarify please? I have tried to do this but it does not allow you to add another pass when one is in existence. Also I have tried to deleting the free one month pass to add the two month option but it will only let you reinstate the old voucher. I'm guessing that it is not possible to use in this situation?

you can only add a new code when you have less than a month left on that subscription. An entertainment sub will not affect a movie sub. When it tells you you already have a sky ID, it means you already have a sky account and probably can`t use that email address on your now tv box. Its easier to create a new email address separate from sky anyway, so your accounts are not connected in any way.

Good times. I think there is some confusion over what a crm system is so let me clear it up. Crm is customer relationship management system. It's a business intelligence tool that is used by businesses to manage customer accounts. It's a tool which enables business to profile existing customer accounts and using complex reasoning and rules identify "dupliacte" accounts etc.
This is distinct from amy application registration system. That is, one can register in a bunch of applications (sky now, now tv, etc) and in each application one is considered distinct, but in the crm system using business intelligence companies can identify the "person" behind all incorporated accounts.
So in effect what this means is that of you register multiple accounts using different data (credit card addresses emails etc) with the express intent to take advantage of rolling "new registrant" deals, this is very likely to be picked up by the crm system with an alert sent to notify management of the situation etc.....

Sky were ringing me up, sending emails and letters 3 years after i had quit them, i got one or the other every day. I lost it on the phone to one of them and demanded they stopped calling me, she told me she will need to run few some account details first before she could take me off the contact list.. She couldn`t get it into her head that i had no account or details to give as i was not a customer any more. Sky most definitely see you as a customer for life.

Had a reply from Now TV, they reckon that the second code wasn't accepted so £9.99 was automatically taken on 27th January and there's nothing I can do about it.

I think that they have just said that - both of my codes were definitely accepted and I was given the date up until February - it seems to me that they have done this to several people on this site - they also removed the codes that were showing that I entered.

I called NowTv and they said the offer is meant to be for one month only and a system error has allowed two months and they will be changing it to accept one voucher code only... unbelievable!

There is a big cancel button on my page which if you hit will cancel any future payments but allow the current free passes to run their course.
Then logon and apply AANOWDMRW7MP for further 30 days.
Then went to packs and cancelled ignoring all the odd wording and it's live till the 27th Feb and won't renew RESULT THANKS

As an aside, I have a four month NowTV movie code. When I try to enter it on my account, I get a message that the code isn't valid. NowTV say the code is fine, but I still can't get it to work. Is it because Now TV only has an option to add a one month code on the site? Sky/NowTV don't seem to have a clue. Help, anyone?

Many people had issues when they swapped over from movie to cinema.
If you use the now tv chat service on the site, and tell them the card won`t work, they should activate it manually for you.
I managed to get the second code working on a new account, followed by the first code, but could not get it to work on an existing account.
You can get the on demand movies part of it, but not the live channels or any of the entertainment, sport or kids.
Edit - Spoke to support on the live chat and they sorted it out for me, apparently the system was just slow in renewing it with the voucher when the old one ran out today.
If not then you need a Sky NOW box that plugs into a HDMI port. Various options out there between £10-£30 odd - usually the same box but bundled with various vouchers, the cinema pass (movies), entertainment, sports or kids pass, usually between 1-4 months bundled. So if you need to buy the box you may as well buy one bundled with entertainment, sports or kids passes as this post is to get the cinema(movies) pass for free....
The 2nd code expires 29/12, the first expires 6/1, you need to have less than a month left on your passes to be able to add a second voucher.
2 months worth of sky movies through this costs around £8 depending on where you source your vouchers from. If you want to replicate most of sky you can buy Sky entertainment for around £3 per month meaning you get basically sky through NOWTV for around £11 - 12 per month for both entertainment and movie channels (FYI you can watch live TV, as well as catch up ad on demand for both).
The cheapest sky package which includes movies and entertainment through your satellite dish cost about treble this.... worth considering whenever you are coming out of contract.
If you do have existing time then you may not be able to do both as you need to be within 30 days of expiry before you can add a code.

All major companies use crm systems to data capture customers. The crm system is sky's so once you're on there you ain't a new customer until your drop off (usually a year out of contract)
So it has treated me as a new NowTV customer :smile:
Hope this helps anyone else that has not used NowTV and wishes to claim the 30 day new customer deal but has a Sky ID from a different Sky service.
Edit: Also applied the first code for the second month free. Cancelled and as previously stated I have 2 months of movies for free :smile:
You can be a sky customer already and become a new now tv customer.
No one at sky will help you if you have problems with your now tv, and vice vera.
The only time you would be committing fraud with secondary accounts would be if you used incorrect personal details, such as billing info or credit card details
Having a second account with a different email would not get you cut off or have you end up in court for fraud.

I also have Sky an when setting up the box kept saying I already have a sky Id not sure how to make a account with this so I used my sons email.
An entertainment sub will not affect a movie sub.
When it tells you you already have a sky ID, it means you already have a sky account and probably can`t use that email address on your now tv box.
Its easier to create a new email address separate from sky anyway, so your accounts are not connected in any way.
