If you got a android phone download mobdro to your phone first then download apps2fire from playstore. You can install any app from your phone to the fire stick using apps2fire. Personally think it's easier and quicker that way.

I don't think it's morally wrong either sharing of information has always been seen as a good thing historically and religiously. traditionally before the corporate machine took over entertainment was free and you only paid what you thought it was worth or what you could afford. There was no mass market transglobal conglomerate entity obsessed with bleeding us dry

For those who do use this service.Does anyone know whether it is worth paying the $2 to go premium? I would mainly use it for Sky Sports as it does stutter a little bit. Does the premium player sort this out? Thanks.

The "Snoopers Charter" means that whatever you watch or download is being stored for 12 months. If you watch these illegal streams without a VPN, you are leaving yourself exposed to retrospective legal action. Just thought it was worth a mention here.
Quotes from the daily telegraph As far as TV or movies are concerned, Fact says no one in Britain has ever been fined or prosecuted for illegally streaming content.
“When it comes to catching those involved in piracy, it is not our strategy to prosecute the end user [people streaming films at home]. Our interest lies in identifying, disrupting and if necessary prosecuting the individuals who defraud the creative industries by knowingly stealing content – and who then make that content available through illegitimate means for their own financial benefit or kudos.”
You are scaremongering

Had it for several months. It's nice and all but the stream always stops after a few minutes. Then you have to back out and reopen it.

There's a few facts in both my statements. Just because you choose to ignore them is up to you. The main fact is that they can now look at your internet history from the previous 12 months. What they do with that information is up to them. Just because they haven't gone after people yet, doesn't mean they won't in the future. Call it "scaremongering" if you want, but many people may not be aware of the new IP bill. They can now Google it and make their own minds up. Don't shoot the messenger.

I haven't ignored anything you have said. You have simply used small bits of information and applied to a 'bigger' problem. You should be a journalist for the Daily Mail or The Sun. EU law states that watching pirated video streams online does not break any copyright laws. If this changes they won't be able to take retrospective action. Your not a messenger when you twist and interpret things into something else. Then again as in a previous comment you think its fine to scare monger people. Again stick to the facts
ReflexReact
12 Dec 16#45
I personally couldn't care about piracy, I have no moral high ground nor do I care about pay for artists/fat cats/etc, but that all said, regardless of "the EU law" you have to be a bit of a moron to think that watching intellectually protected material without permission and for free, is considered morally acceptable. Again, I don't care personally, but stop kidding yourself that it's morally acceptable.
Dude1971
12 Dec 16#46

sreenireddy

You have to be more of a moron to not interpret the law correctly currently it is illegal to broadcast; to watch however is perfectly legal
Danosaur1
12 Dec 16#48
"If this changes they won't be able to take retrospective action." Why not? As you are so keen to "stick to the facts". Oh and just to clarify. You say "EU law states". Have you not heard of that little thing that's going on at the moment. That's fact.

That's a very good question?.
A lot of that depends on what 'Software' the Roku's are using really?, if it's a Custom version of Android (like that of the like's of Fire OS?, on those Amazon Branded Products), then yes, via the Mobdro.apk file you could then side-load it somehow?.
If it's OS is a Custom version of KODI (like that of what OpenElec is on the Raspberry Pi?), then possibly yes again, as KODI allows for direct side-loading of Android APK's within itself (no idea how that works mind?, as I've never personally done it?, but I have observed that feature within KODI in the past?, so ..... )
And if the ROKI OS is derived via something totally different altogether?, then, who knows?, lol. :-)
Anyone else, with any extra/additional input of sorts please .....

I first read your 3TB comment and thought, what the hell???, hehehe.
Then I took a few seconds step back and saw the obvious, lol, a decent DVD quality AVI can easily set you back anything up to 4GB per 1 (with the original VOB content setting you back 8GB-9GB+?).
With Blu-Ray quality MKV, and/or M4V video, being able to easily set you back anything upto 8GB-16GB+? (and the original Blu-Ray Video Format being able to easily set you back 50GB+ in itself for just 1 video?, WOW!, lol, I've no idea what the original Blu-Ray Video File Format is ... )
So before you can even say Jack, 2TB+ can quickly and very easily get eaten up?, lol.

You are the one that went on the offence, just because I pointed out that it would be safer to use VPN to view stuff like mobdro. You go on about facts and link an article from the telegraph, which is over a year old and just asks a question in it's headline. I've used xbmc since it was released many years ago, on the xbox. I have kept my nose glued to the scene ever since. It is the generally accepted view on that scene that VPN is the smart thing to do these days, for a variety of reasons. I don't care what you stream. All I did was point out a few recent developments with regards to Internet privacy. They may, or may not go after anyone, but there is no definite that you could call fact.

VPN is only a smart thing to do if you are after more content on certain apps and Kodi not necessarily protection (well known by people in the know). Some VPN companies have been known to ship out your information when threatened so no safe option there if your exaggerated claims come true. I went on the offence because you are supplying false information to a website with people in the know and people who aren't. Especially when you think its ok to scaremonger (you even admitted this). Its important then to keep to definite facts and there are plenty out there if the telegraph article isn't good enough for you
