I'm genuinely asking for the benefits, because I can't see them.
I can't tell the difference if I'm playing through Steam or GOG, so what's the point?
The only point I can possibly see, is if Steam ever disappears, and you lose your library, then you've got the ability to play them somewhere else. But then I'm going to have bigger worrries, than where my copy of Costume Quest has gone :laughing:

Because you lose nothing and gain the ability, if you want it in future, to play the games without any restrictions at all. It takes only a single click once you've linked your accounts.

Never understand these comments. Can only assume people are wrongly thinking you trade your steam games for gog ones, you don't! Your steam library stays exactly the same, yet you get an extra copy on Gog. What isn't to like? Game selection could be a tad more exciting maybe but they are free and added permanently to your account DRM free. Heated as always....

No drm! No client either. Plus I've found GoG suoport on the rare occasion to have contact to actually be helpful! Unlike steam.
