The Radio Times and many other magazines are available for free in electronic format via the Zinio for Libraries service, if your local council subscribes to the service and you have a library membership number to use to login to the Zinio Service. Most councils will provide a link to the Zinio service from the libraries page on their website.
There are magazine reader apps available for iOS and Android, or you can just use a browser to view the magazines. Back issues of most magazines are also available to download.
Free Radio Times for a year saves you over £40 compared with the cheapest annual subscription I could find.

Thanks for this. I've just found out that I'm able to get free audiobooks as well as the ebooks that they've done for a while. Great find.

I've used this for years, the magazines available differ between libraries and they do chop and change them throughout the year. Overall a really good selection and well worth it for free

Does anybody know if you can access Zinio via Lancashire Library? I can't find any link between the two.

I am afraid not. Your library membership number is used as your login id.

Heat added as I use this for all manner of magazines e.g Gardening, computing, photography, science and even Viz ! which would cost a fortune on monthly subscription. Some mags are only back issues now as the publisher is no longer part of the scheme but still plenty to choose from. I use a 10" Android tablet to view. In Essex you cannot get Radio Times on the app but can get TV Times and What's On TV.
