Fabulous. The temp when my wife and I were there was boiling though. Well into mid-30c.
LOVED the museums particularly the courtyard at National Roman Museum in Rome.
Also loved the Naples museum which was fabulous, and the Vatican museum - not Catholic but I adored everything about the Vatican. Art scultures etc

I'm an utter fanatic on Ancient Roman History ever since being taken along Hadrians Wall with a schoolfriend by my teacher when I was 10.
Wouldn't be allowed now, due to handful of creepy weirdoes and a LOT of arrogant pompous self-serving PC types - but it was an absolutely wonderful day and I've been fascinated by Ancient Rome and Ancient History since
Sorry for droning on - but take a look around Corbridge and let the magic spark you too - then go to Rome, or Diocletian's palace in Split, etc etc etc :laughing:
