I'm on my Xbox One and there are 2 versions of this! ...Version 1) = "Borderlands: The Handsome Collection" and it says was £44.99 now 59% off £18.00 6 days remaining. ...Version 2) = "Borderlands: The Handsome Collection ""UNLOCK BUNDLE"" FREE

What is the difference between those 2 versions? Is the free version with "Unlock Bundle" at the end not the full collection or something?

Is this free for keeps, or just free to play this weekend as I thought it was the latter?

​I am downloading it now on my xb1, i just searched for "border" on my xbox one store then i clicked on the first result on the left, then i clicked on "Borderlands the pre sequel" , then underneath the pre sequel "Borderlands: The Handsome Collection Unlock Bundle" was there and coming up as free. It's clearly just a waste of my hard drive space though and it's going to just be free for the weekend by the looks of the screenshot you posted a few minutes ago mate, gutted, though I had a nice little freebie :neutral_face:

That is how it reads to me, but until they either correct the price or the weekend is over we probably won't know for certain. I have bought but might hold off downloading until I find out just to save the hard drive space.

If you go on Xbox store and search for the unlock bundle, it's free there. But not the normal Handsome Collection

Store on the mobile app didn't show the bundle as free, but both titles separately, for me at least. Went via the website and the bundle appeared as free.

Nabbed it... Not sure what this Free Play Days is, but I've managed to "purchase" and I am not a Gold member. However, it is not showing under "My Games" on Xbox.com...

Mine came up as $0.00 so it could be a USA only deal and your Xbox defaults to the UK store. Which seems bizarre as Microsoft doesn't region lock your MS account so you can go between regions to your hearts content.

Both Borderlands 2 and pre sequel showing in my ready to install page when I turned on the console and when I go to store it says "you own this product" Thats never happened with free to play games for me before. not that fussed if I don't get to keep though as I have so many games to get through already

Haha are you trying to shame me for not posting deals? Well there's two reasons, when I first posted a deal it was taken down. Then I posted another and it was taken down. No mater how hard I tried I seemed to go foul of one posting rule or another. So I got dissuaded and gave up. Secondly you lot do such a good job of finding deals by the time I get to them they're already posted. I still sometimes get a message saying I have posted somewhere wrong or posted somewhere my post didn't belong so it's very discouraging.

Hence keeping my head low and enjoying the community. Not ashamed about anything whatsoever.

I'm playing it now and I got it free. I does say £18.00 on the Xbox Store. I got it on the Microsoft store online. I have spoken with 2 tech support people and they said I haven't been charged and it isn't a glitch. I don't know if I believe them though.

Xbox have already confirmed that its only a free weekend event, they have just put it up a little too early, you are not getting the full games, just a temp unlock of it (which is why the game is listed as an unlock bundle)

Why not? I've had plenty of price glitches on xbox. Game of Thrones season pass for £4 was the best. A load of people who downloaded Sunset Overdrive for a free play wkend ended up with not having to pay for it.

You are missing the point in that this appeared for free on the Store for several hours before any explanation. That is why people thought it would be free to keep, it was offered for free with no explanation. It's clear now it is just a free weekend, it was not at all clear this morning.

It does not mention anywhere that this is a temporary pass. For those willing to hassle microsoft customer services it might be honoured. But I wouldn't bet my house on it

Took a screen grab saying "I own this" and will attempt to argue that no where does it mention about the game being a temporary pass. Downloading 35gb for a couple of days access to a gameis ridiculous in my opinion.

I totally agree. Mine is a 24GB download, and I am playing the "Story Mode". I could see the advertisement from Xbox, but they say it's a Xbox Live Members offer (which I'm not) and it's only multiplayer. Could be wrong, but for me, it is (or was) a glitch

This whole thread is hilarious - why do people think it's a glitch or being given away for free by accident when it's been confirmed by Microsoft, 2K and Gearbox? No matter what the format of the download was all licenses will be revoked on Monday without any doubt.

Oh I get that and those posts are understandable but there persists a number of people hopeful that somehow a screw up has coincided with a free weekend.

Started playing Pre Sequel yesterday and, what a load of balls. Need to try Borderlands 2, hopefully that's a better game??

I noticed this last night, I was looking at what games I had that I could download ( I knew I had borderlands 1 to download because it was free a few months back and back compat) and then I noticed borderlands 2 which I bought a few years back but didn't think it was back compat and then I noticed the pre sequal, wasn't sure what was going on, I installed them anyway just to see if it was a free weekend or not

Might be worth adding to your account though as they are doing a few cross platform purchases

Waste of space for three days. Microsoft has done very poorly in advertising the expiry on the purchase page. Good as a try before you buy but that is how drug dealers sell heroin.
