Will these play online with a Celeron powered laptop and with a USB control pad?
I'm a big Battlefield 4 fan on PS3, but have never been a PC gamer as I haven't had the hardware requirements for anything other than emulation.
How would it work?

This is always what lends a total lack of credibility to people on here referring you to Steam reviews. "Look! 86% positive on Steam so it MUST be good!" :smirk: Much like those people telling you something "must be true - cos it's on Wikipedia".
But they'll still carry on doing it....

Based on the steam forums I'd say there's plenty of kiddies on PC too.

Do you realise that us Linux users consider Windows users like you to be kids? Gamers are funny, act elitist but most of you use an operating system designed for school kids and secretaries. Get a real operating system and grow up

I could quite easily rip this statement apart. Linux is great for security and server usage - but got a driver issue? You're most likely stuffed due to no support, devs moving onto other projects. Have you ever looked at Firefox's bug tracker? Issues (albeit some classed as 'minor') have been stuck for years. Try gaming on a Linux machine. I tried. I failed. Getting Nvidia drivers to work on Linux is a complete and utter shambles of epic proportions - it really, really is. You've got to close lightdm, attempt to get sudo and run the sh file, then it fails ..... no. Just... no.
Linux breeds elitism because people think "wow i'm clever for using something that a small % of people use". The devs are the clever ones - if you're just using it to say/think you're cool, then you're cutting off your nose to spite your face. Office? LibreOffice doesn't win out over MS Office. I know hardcore Linux fanboys who admit that Office wins in that department.
I think we both know Windows is used by police forces, Governments, home users etc, so it's unfair to say it's designed for secretaries and school kids. One of my friends is a developer and he predominantly uses Windows. Sure, he uses Ubuntu and Mac OS X too, but he mainly develops on Windows. I could go on... but you get the idea

2142 is an amazing game. I was not happy when EA plugged servers a few years ago.
