Daniel Blake has worked as a joiner most of his life in Newcastle. Now, for the first time ever, he needs help from the State. He crosses paths with a single mother Katie and her two young children, Daisy and Dylan. Katie’s only chance to escape a one-roomed homeless hostel in London has been to accept a flat in a city she doesn’t know, some 300 miles away. Daniel and Katie find themselves in no-man’s land, caught on the barbed wire of welfare bureaucracy as played out against the rhetoric of ‘striver and skiver’ in modern day Britain.

So you've seen the film? What kind of person trolls on a listing for free tickets to a movie simply because they don't like the premise? Actually writes down their objections based on a set of assumptions rather than just saying to themselves 'that doesn't look like my kind of movie' and moving on instead of sharing their pitiful bile with everyone else. It's the kind of person that makes people walk away from HUKD and not bother sharing what they see as good deals. Thankfully the heat on the deal shows you - like all trolls - are in the minority.
Thanks, how does this work as I've been a member for ages but never get sent films? Thanks

Simply print off your confirmation from SFF and take it along to the cinema you've chosen on the day. It will be film only (no previews) so get there a little early would be my advice. Cheers.

If we are being pedantic, I did not say to have dental work, merely that I would rather go to a dentist. I could just go to one and stand outside for 90mins it would be better than watching this film.

Yeah, misread that one, mate. For me it's just a case of being persistent and checking regularly on the SFF website - and checking their emails which sometimes include similar offers. It tends to be famine or feast with SFF so you need to be patient but HUKD normally has the links within 15-20 anyway.

When it comes to a British film, directed by British Director, that won the 2016 Cannes Film Festival 'Palme D'Or' (look it up), the said Directors second 'Palme D'Or' in fact, you will have to forgive my sniggering at your ability to make yourself look exceedingly stupid, almost totally unaided. Lol!
Bravo!
Back to sleep now thomas before you make yourself look any sillier!
wowwee mr gee no foolin honest to goodness it won a badge, it must be the best film ever then. Really find something more important in life to spit the dummy out than a third rate 90mins of visual mogadon. I look forward to your reply with great anticipation (sarcasm) thought I would point that out as it most likely went over, around, or just straight through your head. You have a great day now.......

If you actually read what I wrote, you will see that i was not 'spitting the dummy', but I WAS sniggering at your ability to make yourself look rather silly.
Now though, fuelled by your latest inaccurate tantrum, the film is 100 minutes - not 90, but of course you knew that because you've seen it (not), that snigger has grown to become full blown laughter, sadly not with you but at you, and I wont be alone in that.
It is a waste of my and Planet P's time engaging in conversation with 'I know everything' cretins, who in reality are 'I know absolutely sweet FA but I've got loads of uninformed opinions and a big gob to bore you with' cretins.
Therefore this conversation, such as it is, is over.
